Put them in a little tank with a magnifying lens..one of those with the magnet all around it like a ships portal, and watch them play....and when they are big enough feed them to the other tanks of fish.

UPDATE:
WEll things have not gone too well.
In the hospital he was not eating...and seemed very depressed....SOOOOO after consulting with a friend...I moved him back to the DT
His bubbles have not gone away this time, BUT....they also have not worsened
SINCE I put him back in the DT, he has become a lot more active...which I guess is good..LOL...BUT still does not appear to be interested in the food. HE HAS to be eating something....There is no way he can be as active and still alive if he has not eaten in a week.

I am told the Diamox suppresses their appetite...SOOOOO Hopefully that will get back to normal..and I know there are pods in the 28G......OH YEAH....even with the few tail bubbles, he is swimming around just fine
so who knows anymore

When I lost power I was sure my horses would starve, they must have been eating pods. One of my horses that liked to hang out in the front area of the tank, looked gaunt, the skin was just streched over the skeleton. He still perked right up as soon as he started eating. I have my fingers and toes crossed for him to start eating, and live a long, long time.

You know Flower.....the size of this horse has not changed a bit...so IDK....only thing I could think of is he is eating when I am not looking
SURELY after a week if he were not eating...he would be listless or dead
since he is back in his own home...he seem to have a lot more energy.
THANK YOU for your thoughts :)

After a full week he would be either dead or his abdomen would be seriously concave. There's nowhere close to you who has live brine, is there?

That's my point...so he has to be eating
ANYWAY...NO there is not....BUT I have a 10G tank full of them ..LOL...I said I got a baggie free...remember...so I am keeping them alive and feeding them
I wsa told to feed them coral foods, and as soon as they eat, put them in the tank. I will probably try that in the DT when I get home tonight
I will also try to get a pic....and you will see he is the same size as he has been
that is why I think he is eating when I am not looking....HE HAS TO BE

She looks good to me! Do you have corals or other inhabitants in this tank? If not, I have had success soaking mysis in water with crushed diamox and feeding it to the horses. (note I did have some soft corals that were not affeted by this, but am not sure about other inverts)
Just a thought, and I have never seen anyone reccommend this. Tried it out of desperation, as all my qt's were in use. It worked.

I have a few mushrooms, a feather duster, and some bleached colt coral...LOL...
He stil lwill not eat in front of me....BUT.....Julie...he doesn't look skinny???? RIGHT???...SO he must be eating when I am not looking,....he has to be
OH YEAH...I also have a couple of peppermints, a tiger conch, fancy nassarius, regular nassarius and other snails

Yes, she looks pretty fat and happy in those shots. I also notice that she's not holding her tail in any particular position...it looks like she has normal tail movement and function in all those pics. I see the bumps you mention there, but (and it's almost impossible to be sure in these shots) they don't really look like common EGBD "bubbles." Is it at all possible that these are cysts of some kind -- possibly even scars from an earlier GBD? I don't know if this horse has been treated for EGBD before. Again, all I can do is offer guesses based on the pics, and I'm sure you have a MUCH better view of what these buggers look like. I wish I could give more advice, but I will be the first to tell you that I am NOT the seahorse disease expert. Other than a vibrio infection outbreak and a low O2 issue a long time ago, I've been remarkably lucky in terms of disease issues (don't you jinx me!!

OK, don't laugh. You use PE mysis, right? Have you tried picking out a nice, fat, whole one and hand feeding her? Take it by the tail fin with tweezers and wave it in front of her in a lifelike way. LOL my horses can't resist this! It's even the way I got my WC female to finally try mysis.
.......darnnit, I told you not to laugh!

Rick...this same horse has been treaded 2x before for gbd.....I WAS feeding PE mysis, BUT he would not eat it...so I went back to the mini mysis....
WAVE IT in front of his face...LOL....He had 1000 brine shrimp swimming around him....on his face and everything...and he didn't care
BUTTTTTT....see.....he's NOT skinnny.....I'm gonna feed the mysis, and then squirt some in there a couple of times tomorrow since I will be home all day..
AND YES.....he swims and carries himself normally.....SO IDK anymore....I will just watch him closely I guess

Hmmm....I hadn't thought of the possibility of the bumps being scarring or other. I am, also, very far from being an expert, but I agree. As long as the horse is acting fine and looking healthy, maybe the need to worry is over.
Healthy fish and good water conditions, and fish can fight off many diseases.
As far as the eating is concerned, I also, watch in frustration as a couple of my horses never seem to eat. They must though, as they continue to live.
Still would love to see it in person.

WELL BAD NEWS......the bumps have worsened..SOOO I am setting up the 10G qt (AGAIN) today...I already have new water made up for a w/c and to be able to use the w/c water for the QT :(
I have enough meds for one more 4 day treatment............IDK what else to do....This may be his last chance...Something is not right. Maybe he is just a sickly horse prone to illness
who knows :(

I'm sorry to hear about the horse. I have a question what type of carbon do you run in the DT for the horses?
