Arrrgh, so frustrating not seeing them eat!!
I know....BUT we know they have to be cause otherwise they would be dead already

I am soaking the food in a liquid B-vitamin......SO I am hoping he is getting some....at least some should soak into him thru the water (??)

Well....The good news is the bubbles appear to be shrinking.....he still will not eat in front of me though
AND I will not force him off his hitch to examine him.....I really don't want to keep stressing him out.....
Treatment 6 is done though......4 to go

Well good news.....it seems there is one small bubble left....YAYYYY...I still have not seen him eat, BUT us in the real world know he would be dead and really skinny by now if he wasn't
BAD NEWS....I miscounted the Sulfa......I had 5 packages....1st dose was one full one....then 1/2 each time....that makes 9...not 10....SO today was 8
tomorrow will be 9 and my last.....I am going to order more, BUT.....I will still do dose 10 of just neomycin, and also another diamox, I then will leave him in there for a few days for observation
TERESA....ANY SUGGESTIONS????

LOL...He thinks you are the enemy, he isn't sulking. Clinging tight up against hitches and remaining very still is how they hope the enemy will not see them. That's also why they change colors to match their suroundings, they want to blend in and be invisable. The horse has been sick and you did what you had to, but to him you are a big hand that grabs him.

LOL...I know....Tonight will be dose 10 of the neo....last night was 9 of neo/sulpha...but I am out of sulpha now
I am still dosing diamox too....so tonight will be my last dose of that too.....I am not sure what to do next.....he still has a teeny bubble, that is why I have continued with the Diamox.
I am thinking he needs to be left in the hospital to watch him closely......not sure

I would do a good water change and give him a couple of days as long as he is eating in there.
I hope the antibiotics did the trick for him

Thanks......I will do a w/c tomorrow.....and just watch him

does he eat in front of you in his tank? Do you see any poop in the hospital tank??? I am more worried about not eating now. You don't want his digestive system shutting down.
I would also do a really good water change in your cube in case there is bacteria in there that is effecting him.
If he will eat in the main tank then do a good water change and then move him.

My seahorses see me as a food bringer and don't hide, however every fish in the 90g hides when anyone gets within 5 feet of the tank...my living room is small, that means unless one sits quietly on the sofa for 5 minutes, you would think the tank was empty. Nearly every FTS I have, all you see is a big empty tank.

Of my four horses, only the two younger females are really active around me. The male and older female both like to hang out and hide when they see me....I have to really stay quiet and still to see those two come out to play.
