WELL BAD NEWS......the bumps have worsened..SOOO I am setting up the 10G qt (AGAIN) today...I already have new water made up for a w/c and to be able to use the w/c water for the QT :(
I have enough meds for one more 4 day treatment............IDK what else to do....This may be his last chance...Something is not right. Maybe he is just a sickly horse prone to illness
who knows :(
So sorry, poor little horse has managed to hang in there, so maybe one more time will do it.
Maybe it's in the breeding, Peka's little horses that I got from her has not had a single issue. Tank temps all over the place, the blackout...they just keep on going like nothing bothers them. Teresa's is pretty hardy too, she has not had a single issue after they got big enough to eat frozen. Maybe you could get a few of hers to keep him/her company after he/she gets all better.

Do you have any anti-biotics?? you might try treating it with that or You might see if you can get some brine or small ghost shrimp-( I know you have trouble getting live food though) and gut load them with it and see if it will eat them. The diamox reduces hunger - you can also boost it by adding vitamin b12

ok, after reading thru a couple of threads on another site, lol I would treat her with neomycin, triple sulfa for a full ten days and a 5 days of diamox at the same time. Just watch her eatting. Soak her mysis in b-12 or gut load live.
