How does this always come back to “We the people” (government) are to blame… Hmmm
When capitalist fails, it’s the governments fault.

Capitalist profited from the mine

Capitalist abandoned the mine

Capitalist built over the mine

Consumer bought the house
Capitalist insurance company doesn’t want to pay
The evil Attorneys that cost capitalist corporations money with lawsuits.
Only evil when others sue, but great when you personally need them.
In the end blame the government!
The government failed by not regulating – preventing capitalist from building over mines, landfills. However, some would contend the government would be over reaching and restricting business if they did and when it fails, fall back to number 7.
Shouldn't we stop relying and wanting the government to bail us out?
Capitalists (mine owners) paid for the fund the state uses to make this right. The consumer bought homeowners insurance. The insurance company issued the policy knowing that due to the geological concerns certain losses weren't their responsibility and priced the policy accordingly.
