1st of all - banana cheesecake is GROSS. I am a die-hard cheesecake lover and the thought of a banana cheesecake makes me want to BARF.
The dulce de leche cheesecake on the other hand, sounds GREAT, JTT - long as the recipe is from a diabetic website.
2nd, diabetics CANNOT HAVE ALCOHOL.
so, no jello shots.

I think the dulce de leche cheesecake sounds great...simple flavors yet very delicious. And as far as I'm concerned, dessert(no matter where you are) is always great. I think it's a perfect dessert. Like everyone else is suggesting though, try it before taking it. Some recipes work great and others not so much. Gives you a little time to find a great one.

whatever it is, MAKE IT FIRST. don't let the 1st time you try the recipe be the time you bring it to her house. that could be a disaster.

I took a look at your recipe and it looks just like my recipe for cheesecake except the sugar was switched with splenda. This looks like a good recipe to me. Should taste exactly the same as the sugar filled cheesecake...I'd try it.

I have a diabetic friend that partakes quite heavily in alcohol every weekend...always trying to find that prize in the bottle. Not suggesting this is a good idea/healthy, and realize there are varying degrees of diabetes...just sayin'

right, that's great - he's in charge of the treatment - or not - of his own condition. but JTT was asked to bring something diabetic friendly, and as alcohol is not good for diabetics - whether or not they can choose to partake of alcohol is irrelevant, it should not be an ingredient in the dessert that JTT brings to this girl's party.

I was not suggesting that JTT include this in whatever he takes to the party. Nor was I suggesting it was a good idea or "cool". I was simply replying to "CANNOT HAVE ALCOHOL". Apologies for veering off the path of the thread...but as stated I was "just sayin'"...
alcohol free cheesecake dude...can't go wrong
. Hopefully this statement is more suitable.

the diabetic person in question DOES partake heavily in the alcohol but she loads up on that insulin before hand, shes got it down to a science.
but there will be lots of food, and she knows that the diabetic person will be eating a lot, so its like, trying to be healthy, but indulging a lot because its the superbowl...
i find it funny how like when people are on diets, there are always convenient "holidays" in which to make exceptions to the diet. recently it was Christmas, but now its the super bowl, and then pay day, and now the holiday time is every wednesday because its mid week hump day.

...You sure you're going after the right one...sounds like this one is loving life...anyone that has their insulin down to a science so they can get hammered is a keeper in my book

Right, so there's the plan, skip bringing some food, sounds like they got that cover. If anything a last minute call Sat. to see if they need something (you'll be the guy that comes through in the clutch). Then bring a handle of Blue Label for after the game. Let her shoot up the insulin, then you two can have fun after. Here's where the effort is going to come in on your part, you're going to have to get into work Monday, bright eyed and bushy tailed around her sister at work. You'll be that rockstar that can do everything, party, and still get the job done. The cat will be in the bag...

I know...The diabetic sounds like she would be a blast though. I pulled the roomate switch in college...this is my suggestion to you. Anyone that ranks fun over health on the priority list is a keeper...gems they are....gems. You are at the prime age to make poor decisions.

Cherry Peppers :)
Get some small cherry peppers.
Cut up chunks of Fontinella cheese. Wrap the chunk in a slice of Proscuitto ham. Stuff into the cherry peppers ( hot or sweet) and marinade in a jar of Garlic expressions.
SImple and delicious :)
Not sure how diabetic friendly but they are awesome.

Actually I wouldn't cook something. I'd just go to the store and pick up something simple. You don't want to try too hard.
Exactly. Remember when going above and beyond that you are setting expectations.
