He is nothing special. Maybe if McCain wins Obama will go back to the Senate and put together a record that matches his hype and rhetoric.
He'd have to actually vote for that to occur...

I disagree. He would have to actually come out and take a stand for or against an issue that matters. Not just make a vote he can try to explain away after the fact

not to get OT, but just ask any european or cuban immigrant how great this country and how much opportunity there is here compared to their homeland.
once you understand that, it is impossible to like obama.

He's only a 'close friend' to the radical Republicans that want to find any dirt they can to create a smear campaign on baseless evidence. If McCain brought this up in any debate, he'd get lambasted and he knows it. It's nothing more than tabloid fodder. Reefraff just proves it by trying to substantiate the claims with idiotic blogs from second-rate reporters and politicians. Show me a video clip, ANY CLIP, where McCain is personally brining up Ayers. I wouldn't doubt if these morons who are training Sarah how to debate will try to sneak it in. I hope they do. It'll prove just how ignorant the woman is.

why is this woman ignorant?
this just totally amazes me. She hasn't done a dang thing to deserve such vitriol yet. It actually makes me feel even better about her when libs say things like this.

Here is a thought.
You have 2 politicians. Both startest their careers in a region with entrenched corrupt politicians. One started his career with the help of the corrupt landlord, next to a friend who says he bombed the capital. And attending a church where the pastor equates american military action to terrorism. He didn't rock any boats, was a "team" player, made some friends, used his position to enrich himself, and used the status quo to build his career.
The other politician went into an region where corporations had bought off the politicians, she ran against the incombent in her own party and won. Ticked everyone off, cleaned house and fired people who were undermining her by going behind her back and not operating at her directive. And renegotiated with the corporations to end sweatheart deals that the bought off politicians gave them.
And I ask you this, who is the real agent of change? And who is the ignoramus?

Talk about boosting up a resume. WOW. She also giving back money and gifts she received from corrupt people. Her church is not squeaky clean either. Did you miss the trial thats going on against her? She hired a lobbyist to get earmarks. When she left her job as a mayor she left it with a deficit and problems. She was a mayor of a town that charged raped victims for exam kits. If you believe what you wrote I want to sell you a bridge to nowhere?

Nice try but I gave you two well respected publications and a left wing blog site.

I love it, people who have no clue about a christianity, say that they are (figuratively speaking) dancing with snakes and you people take this as an authority on the subject.

Trial? What trial are you talking about?

What isn't squeaky clean about her church?
Palin returned donations that totaled about 2,000.00 from two politicians who have been implicated in a scandal. Did Obama return the house he got in a deal from convicted felon Tony Rezko?
There is no trial but the troopergate investigation has reached no conclusions. Even assuming she was found to have did exactly what they claim she did so what? Do you want a man who would tazer his 9 year old step son walking around with a badge and gun?
You do realize that lobbyists can't insert earmarks in a bill, only a member of congress can?
The voters approved a bond issue for a sports complex when Palin was mayor and thanks to her excellent financial stewardship the town is on schedule to repay the bond early

I wish you liberals would be honest, and say, I hate her because she isn't a liberal. She doesn't share your affinity for killing babies. And totally invalidates your argument that the democrat party is the party where woman are equals and not some piece of meat. She didn't use the means liberals have established to facilitate equality. If that is why you hate her. That is fine. To each their own.
But to make stuff up. Like she got prayed for in church, oh my. Or years after she changed churches, the old pastor said something along the lines of, I don't see how you can say you are a christian and justify killing a baby. Or she is bad because her husband had one dui 20 years ago. Or her abstiance position is invalidated because her daughter is pregnant. Or she improperly used her authority to fire someone. Who held a position she appoints.

Did you see her interview with Katie Couric? Watch it, then give me an adjective that descibes her responses. If not ignorant, then how about clueless, "politically deficient", uninformed, misguided... pick one.

I have said this more than once. I have no personal problem with the lady. I understand that kids will be kids. I don't care what church she prays in. I don't care if she has friends that did bad things in the past or if her husband has a dui 2 years ago. None of that matters to me. I have a problem because she does not know what she is doing. She can't speak in public about important issues without sounding confused and saying Uhhh, and Oh I will find that and bring it to you. She is too inexperienced to be in the VP position. Maybe if she was in congress or something for a few years and got some international experience. And maybe if she showed some serious insight into what she was asked instead of trying to get out of the questions. Then I might have some faith in her.

So your opposition is mainly based on experience? (entirely serious and curious question) How do you justify Obama's lack of experience?
A second question, why do you find her not knowing an answer, more troubling as say an exhausted obama and some of his gaffs or biden saying FDR was president in 1929? Or Biden not knowing Obama's position on "clean" coal plants.
Third question, why is congress for a few years good experience while being governor for a few years not good experience?

I don't hate the woman, I'm afraid of what will happen to this country if for some reason she became POTUS because something happened to McCain. With the exception of her scripted speech she gave at the Republican Convention, all the other interviews that THEY LET HER DO, makes her look like some incompetent backwoods country girl that isn't capable of running or managing something as enourmous as our country. Everyone brings up that her qualifications are valid since she's the governor of Alaska (even though the population of the entire state is less than Los Angeles. So what if it's the largest state in the US? Size doesn't matter in this case.) Who knows who she has on her staff that could be the one actually controlling the state. She looks like nothing more than eye candy. I'll hold off criticizing her anymore until after her debate with Biden on Thursday. That'll be the tell-tale sign of who this woman actually is, and whether she's as smart and talented as you claim she is.

Yes it is based on her lack of experience. I would prolly be for McCain if he had picked someone like Rice or something like that. Obama is not the most experienced, true. And all of the candidates have made mistakes and sounded silly once or twice, yes. They are human. However, Palin has a better chance than most to end up taking over the presidency (no one can argue that McCain's health problems are serious). She consistently does not understand what is going on and is having to be schooled and explain to things that both of the presidential candidates already know and fully understand. It is really obvious that she is just not ready and we don't have time for her to get over the learning curve.

To be honest I don't know enough about Biden to make a choice of whether I have a problem with him or not. I do like Obama better than McCain, simply because I tend to agree with more of his views (although not all). What can I say? I just tend to be liberal and lean more towards that thinking. I don't think that McCain would be a bad president though. I don't think that either of them would be "bad" necessarily, just different. For me, the really deciding point would be the troops thing. Obama has been pretty clear in wanting to remove them from the area. I am really in favor of that. It is a HUGE expense and I firmly believe it is one of the main reasons that the economy and stock market are where they are now. Just my .02.
