LMAO

That's why ENVY is one of those seven deadlys brother, it'll eat ya up

Cowboy fans could care less what he did off the field with escorts and strippers. On the field, he DESTROYED the supposed greatest corners of all time in their prime! Check his numbers against Deion, Rod Woodson and Darrell Green and you'll get an inkling of just how great he really was

Someday the Sucs MIGHT have a player half as great as the Playmaker and maybe in about 40-50 years they will have as many rings as King Michael, MAYBE!
Oh, by the way, Irvin is no more a drug addict than the great Warren Sapp(just has alot more rings). Sapp was known as a notorious weedhead in South Florida long before it came to light before he was drafted. In fact, a kid i went to highschool with and knew well was his dealer during his time at UM and after he was drafted by the Sucs.

So then, why can't Pete Rose get inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame?
Irvin's 'lifestyle' seems much worse to me.....but I guess none of us know the true, complete story.
Brett's back for one more year.....

My favorite commercial from the superbowl.

Using drugs is bad but every athlete knows the 1 cardinal, unforgiveable sin in sports is betting on not only your sport but your own team! Rose bet on baseball games including the Reds as both a player and player/manager.
Irvin has done more than most of you realize in South Florida for youths in his hometown. He has built parks and playgrounds and donated tons of money and time to help poor kids from where he grew up. Rose is just despicable all around, the closest he's ever come to helping any kids is to charge them $75 for an autograph.

Not true. I'm a Cowboys fan, been so all of my life. I EXPECT the Cowboys to maintain the "America's Team" image. I do care what they do off the field and get arrested for...
These guys get paid millions of dollars. They are role models. I expect them to be above reproach.

If you expect 53 guys, most of whom come from areas you wouldnt drive into during the day much less after dark, to be role models and above reproach, you are gonna be disappointed almost every time. People make mistakes and just because you are an amazing football player or get paid millions doesnt make you perfect. Say what you want in your ivory tower but judge him when you have lived in his shoes or grew up in his neighborhood.
He was a great player and without the drugs would have been 1st ballot HOF. He made some mistakes and paid for it with 2 snubs. His charitable works in his community have far overshadowed his drug mistakes and he works hard to make sure those kids dont make the same mistakes he did.

So everyone from a poor neighborhood or upbringing does drugs and uses prostitues?
I believe there should be consequences for your actions. Using drugs and prostitues should ban you from HoF in my opinion.
You can disagree if you want, but don't say "no Cowboys fan" cares about players personal behavior.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Pete Rose bet against his own team, owed tons of money to bookies , gave away his "prized bat" over 30 times and dabbled in cocaine..... how much worse can you get.
Yes Farve is back .... and yet again one more year the Packers will fail horribly..... What do they see in this guy?

doesnt matter what you say Journy...emmitt will twist it to fit his agenda as he always does...
Warren Sapp was in college... doesnt make it right, but he hasnt been arrested one time during his career... unlike the person you seem to idolize... the Coke Machine...
the Bucs do have some enshrinees in the HOF... so keep making your jabs with things that are actually your opinion and not fact...
youre saying i am envious emmitt... that is such a laugh
... ohhh ya i am so freakin jealous that the Bucs dont have a player that cheated to acheive what he did... even his fellow commentators were giving him crap about his push offs.. its a good thing that LMAO is one of the seven deadlies, cuz everytime i read one of your posts thats what happens!!! :hilarious

I am not sure how he cheated his way into being a great football player by using cocaine??? If cocaine is able to boost your performance when used in an athletic environment and by top tier athletes, i only wonder what it would/could do for us, the average joe's in our lives and at work. He didn't cheat his way in football, but he did do some dumb things to hurt himself, his family, and his career.
1journeyman, this is not a stab at you, but you say that anyone who uses/abuses drugs or visits prostitutes should not be allowed in the NFL. I'm sure you realize that you would only have a handful of players in the HOF. You would have to throw out Favre, one of the most popular players to ever play the game. And then you would have to go back in time to see what players used steroids (most players), and which abused pain killers (most).

Wow, you arent gonna be a moderator of a reading comprehension forum anytime soon

I said if you expect guys from that upbringing to be role models and above reproach, you will be disappointed most of the time not that they all do drugs and use prostitutes. But hey, when you are desperate to pile on, reading comprehension takes a backseat.
Everyone makes mistakes no matter the upbringing. Yeah, good analysis, ban Irvin from the Hall for doing the same things the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES did.
I guess you must think Stepnoski is the worst person who ever lived then right Joureyman?
p.s.- Irvin never cheated on the field. You are so big on proof so show me any proof that Irvin was ever high on cocaine while on the field ***)

Not taken at a stab at all. I'm not sure pain killers should be in the same category as "recreational" drugs, as they at least were originally prescribed legally and can be addictive.
The "Hall of Fame", to me should be selective.
Where do we draw the line? If a player beats his wife should that eliminate him? What about being convicted of ----? Murder? Treason?
I'm all for weeding out players. Why should we reward criminals with "Hall of Fame" status? Has our country degraded to the point where we can't find any law abiding sports heroes anymore?

The Bucs have "some" enshrinees???
Really, who are they? Lee Roy Selmon in 95 after about 6 years of eligibility and who else? You cant seriously be calling Steve Young a Succaneer(i guess rice is a Raider and Montana a chief
) so that would leave the list of Sucs in the Hall at a grand total of 1 not some. Yeah, youre not jealous

Weird how i never hear anyone clamoring to boot Jim Browns bust from the hall for beating his wife and being jailed for refusing to do his wife beater sentence

Wow, I haven't watched the news today. The President did cocaine and used Prostitutes? I missed that headline...
Now, as for reading comprehension.. That implies "comprehending" the meaning of a written text. You've said all Cowboys fans don't care about What MI did off the field. You said that he grew up in a bad neighborhood and therefore we can't judge his actions until we've "lived in his shoes". you said he's made mistakes with drugs.
Mistakes? A mistake is answering A on a test when you meant B. How do you mistakenly buy drugs, call a hooker, and end up in a hotel?
So what EXACTLY did I not comprehend in your texts? you clearly said We can't judge MI because of where he came from... Since you think I lack reading comprehension skills spell it out for me.
