shawnts, where is your full tank shot that was suggested you post earlier? I for one would luv to see how it looks. You sound like a very thick headed person who will spitefully put things in their tanks against everyones advise just to prove a point. I have MH, and am still deathly afraid of putting in a clam fearing that it might die...I dont put anything in there that has a bad track record. Why take the chance? Waste of money. I buy things that are dying in other tanks, and get them back to health....to put something in there that wont make it IMO is wrong. And your attitude "its just a clam" realy does s*ck!! When you were little did you put magnifying glasses over bugs to see what happens....and really enjoy it???

Yes it’s true that a clam can’t see, but anything that has life in it deserves to be treated humanely. Even though the clam is a “lesser,” creature in many eyes, it was put on this Earth to serve a purpose and for that reason it should be respected

I am sorry that you are just scared to death to put a calm in a MH lite system... I personally think that is just the dumbest thing Ive ever heard in my life!.... everyone hear knows clams can survive under MH, and if your too scared of killing a flippen' clam you need mental theropy IMO!!!!! IN MY OPINION!
+ if you have a reef tank, I dought you need to worry about money! LOL!.... OH, my attitude "s*cks" huh?... TOUGH S*IT!... get over it !.... and yeah I FRIED BABY CHICKENS WITH GIANT MAGNIFYING GLASSES ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I even flushed a 5 inch long Yellow tang *LIVE* down the toilet and had to call roto-rooter to uncloge my drain!

BTW: no i didnt fry baby chickens and no I did not flush a 5 inch yt down the drain!
but I did fry ants and I have purposly killed a yt with a fresh water dip because if killed a 80$ sailfin, a 20$ brazillian grama, a 40$ of bangia cardenials and several 5$ chromises... it IMO deserved to die!... a HORIBLE AND PAINFUL DEATH!
thats, just in case you didnt know, is about 150$ worth of livestock, when a yt only costs about 20... IMO, it once again, deserved that death!

GAH, that post makes me look like a animal killer... hum, well Im not, I have my saltwater aquarium, a freshwater Ram tank, 2 budgerigars, a dog, a cat and 13 EB turtles, .... which I breed the turtles for rehabilitation purposes in wild areas... I dont belive that ALONE qualifies me as a animal abuser... LOL!
I was mad at that tang, and it ... was an evil tang to begin with... even at the pet store it was beatting up on every one of the other fish in the housing tank!.... so it was a demonized devil fish, which I DO NOT feel bad about killing!... and ANYONE who hunts on this site *btw: i DO NOT hunt* cant say anything about killing animals... because that tang was food to the bacterial and wood creatures in my yard!!! LOL!
