Israel Now Listed As A Terrorist Nation By Obama Administration

And calling for Israel to be cut in half and the land given to it's sworn enemies and putting Israel on a list of terrorist nations is "without basis or merit"?

Never said nobody else was scapegoated, and never said Obama was innocent of it.
Point being the similarities don't stop at the quick rise to fame. The lesson I believe we failed to learn is there is danger in placing an unknown person in charge. The media were so in love with the idea of him as president most failed to do their job and do any serious examination of his background. I know more than one person who voted for him that within a year said they thought they made a big mistake.

OK, let's reel this baby in a bit...
Mantisman, your original point should be well taken, as you oppose Israel's inclusion on the list as they are clearly a nation that battles terrorism.
This strange debate has taken a somewhat ridiculous turn, (and of course no one will ever back off), in the nazi analogy, holocaust language and anti semitic accusations. To me, these are clearly exaggerated claims just intended to emphasize a point. Unfortunately the debate has become centered on the analogy/exaggeration, and the original point has somehow gotten lost.
Let's not get bogged down by what appears to be just a poor choice of words...

I miss Barry Farber. He was my first and favorite talk show host. Most of my opinions on this subject were formed and cultivated from his perspective. I need to gather some of his info. Even though it's been about 10 years since his show went off the air here, it still holds true today.

I'm not saying that the problems with the whole Israel border thing don't have merit. Not once have I defended Obamas "plans" for redefining Israel, I'm not even a huge Obama fan I could care less. Palestine has wanted Israel wiped off the face of the Earth for a very long time, that's not anything new, and that's a problem. My problem in this thread is tossing around phrases like "anti-semites and Jew-haters" and "this is how the Nazis started." Does Obama want to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth because he hates Jews or is just him caving to what everyone else wants to do? If you can convince me that Obama is a Jew-hater then by all means continue using those phrases.

I don't know if I would agree with that. A whole lot of countries have taken the Palestinian side against Israel.

Best as I can remember you are Jewish. Do you think Israel has given the Palestinians a fair shake?

Crimzy, I appreciate the calming words. I am quite seriously concerned where this anti-Israel stuff is going.

I don't use those phrases because I don't see where 0bama is a "Jew hater". I do see someone who is way to quick to appease the Muslim world be it in relation to Israel or not.

This is an older story, but is what I'm fearful of.

You remember correctly... not sure what you mean by "fair shake". Could they give some land back to negotiate peace? Probably but that doesn't appear to make peace more likely. Israel has been put in a tough spot because it cannot effectively negotiate. Israel's enemies can use terrorist tactics while their leaders emplore the world that Israel needs to be diplomatic. Kind of a no win situation for them...

No, I can agree with that. My problem is when questionable moves (whether from him being weak or an idiot or what, I don't know) turn into pull out of the --- accuastions.

To accuse someone of using Nazi tactics isn't comparing them to Hitler. Hitlers and the Nazi's rise to power does have a few interesting parallels to 0bama's but that doesn't make him the monster Hitler was. If you are going to slam someone for doing that start with the Vice President who sent a fundraising e-mail saying the Republicans were going to use Nazi tactics to defeat the Democrats.
The republicans are gonna start killing their political opponents?

See you hit the nail on the head. Israel cannot afford to give the Palestinians a "fair shake" because the UN screwed up so badly when they created Israel. Most of the Palestinians are from Jordan from what I understand. If they need more room the land should come from there.
