To answer your fake peppermint question, sometimes Camel Shrimp as sold as peppermint shrimp. However, unlike the peaceful and beneficial peppermint shrimp, camel shrimp are nasty little critters that will eat corals. But it appears you have the good ones. No hump, and a pointed mouth.
Also, it doesn't sound like you are quarantining, and you really should be. I learned the hard way. I didn't quarantine my clowns, and they got a parasite. Luckily, they were the first fish in the tank, and all I had to do was set up a QT and move them over. Everytime you add an unquarantined item to your tank, you risk the whole system. I like to think of the QT as a kind of insurance. JMHO, as well as the opinion of many others.
