Actually, I'm pretty sure that a percula clown will darken with age.

That sounds right. I normally set up the tank a week before I plan on getting sometime, and let the salinity and temp balance out. I leave the filter pad from my HOB filter in my sump, so bacteria can grow, and tansfer the pad to the QT a day or two before I get the fish (or invert). This way bacteria is already present, and cycling is not necessary.
I'm actually doing this right now, as I plan on getting a LMB on Friday. I'm excited.
Sweet, thanks. I guess I will be setting up a QT tank within the next 2 weeks since the hubby wants a flame angel. We are going to Tampa this weekend to Busch Gardens on Saturday then on Sunday we are going to the LFS around there. Can't wait!!! Not getting fish but definitely looking into coral.

Ok I figured since the other one was the same color as the new one when I got her.

I am super excited!! I am going to Tampa this weekend and I am going LFS hopping! I cannot wait. Not getting any fish...but definitely some coral. There is a store that sells LR that they "farm" from the ocean, they just take it from their "spot" in the ocean and apparently the LR has a whole bunch of critters from the ocean on it, anyways...I want to go to their store just to look around but it is no longer open to the public. Sucks...

Is anyone worried about LR that comes from the Gulf? I mean could you possibly be putting petroleum in your tank?

Lol, do you know what it would cost to ship one of the stands I make. They are HEAVY, lol. And yeah, I may delete my number...didn't think about that.
there are "fake" peppermints?
That's great. The more weight the better. The last thing I want is a weak stand. So when can I start getting thigns ready?
To me in that pic those look like the real shrimp. The fake ones don't have any latitude lines on them. All the stripes go longitudinaly.
Real.

Fake.

I would have never known Posiden if it was a fake or not. lol.
Tampa has some AMAZING stores! This one store had 12 - 600 gallon tanks full of coral and frags! Their main DT has a chalice in it that is $14K. Supposedly it is super rare and there are only 4 pieces known. Blah blah, but it was awesome. I got a nice size bubble coral for $40 and a pretty purple and pink zoas frag. I will post some pictures later tonight once I get home from work.

I can't imagine spending $14k on a coral.
Get some pics!

yeah, tell me about it. It was gorgeous though. No pictures allowed. I didn't bring my camera anyway. They had that whole tank lit up with 100+ blue LEDs, sooooo gorgeous. Can't wait to get LEDs for my tank....

I do lime LEDs. They're just too expensive for how much light they put out though.

Hey where are the pics at??
14K for a coral. Ok if there is only 4 known then I would say they need to charge more. Lets buy it and frag it all over the place for a few hundred a frag.
