In a former life I was a firefighter/EMT (12 years). Now I work at the County doing safety stuff in the Community Justice areas (Sheriff, Jails, Juvy, DA's office, etc.)

Uhm can I have my stapler - uh you have my stapler ... is my cube getting smaller.
OK my life truly is a cross between dilbert and this movie - seriously if you are reading dilbert about the drive management that is my life - especially today - where I was asked to approve a risk I opened up and stated: Due to the risk of this project Enterprise Test will not sign off on this .... they then asked me to write a rebuttal to myself ....
whatever!!

Overanalyzer, perfect name for help desk.
I'm actually just the opposite. Air Force software developer that spent way too much time working network admin. Finally got transferred and am working as an Oracle developer. Just a little over a year from retirement, well at least from the Air Force. Goal after that is to be the Wal-Mart greeter. Thought about the Slurrpy guy but felt like too much pressure.
Cool thread, fairly new to here so this was some neat reading.

Same here dude, but I have always been a consultant. I started liking my job when I left my huge company and started my own company. Something about keeping all the bill rate for yourself just makes the job much more tolerable. On the downside though, I usually spend a few months a year between contracts so you have to account for that and save up. Makes for a much better golf game though.

Bless you Golfish.
If I still drank beverages with caffeine I would send you flowers. Sadly, I kicked the habit 3 years ago. The ONLY thing I miss is the taste of Coca-Cola.
Nectar of the gods!
