I finally got around to scraping algae last night... only took 2 grueling hours.
I also made some other progress too as I got my other two MH light bulbs and got those suckers on timers too. These shots are with all 4 fired up, which is only for about 3 hours per day. As you can see I have different spectrum bulbs in different parts of the tank. I also bought a phosban reactor and am running it with carbon. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts...

Tank looks great Crimzy,What a transformation from a great big scratched up plastic rectangle to a beautiful aquarium.

Thanks... actually truth be told, it's still got a lot of scratches that I couldn't buff out. But when the acrylic is clean, you can't see the scratches unless you go right up to the tank.

Thanks... generally speaking, most suggest that this is not a good match. A lot of people believe that lions will accidentally sting the ray as it brushes over them. But I've had lions for over 20 years now and have never seen them sting other fish. These have been together for about 3 years with no issues. In fact, when the rays swim over or even brush along the top of the lion, the lion always lowers his spines. This is just a situation that has always worked for me.

any plans to convert to the reef side of the force? what an amazing reef display you could have!!
What I have is somewhat of a hybrid. You can't really tell much from the pics but I have GSP, zoos, shrooms, kenya tree, various polyps and a leather coral in my tank. The first pic shows one side of the tank, with some of these things. I really would like to add some corals that will do well with my stock list that will bring some "pop" to my rock structures. I have considered a clam but it's a risk with my CB.
Reefers... any advice on some brightly colored, hardy corals that would do well in my tank???
