The yellow ray is about 11" in diameter. The snapper is about 5" long.

Great video! Those rays do A LOT more than I ever thought rays did. I just thought that they would kinda cruise the sand-bed until they found something! Now I want one....
Regarding your lion, have you been stung, had any aggression problems, etc? I am thinking about one....

No aggression at all from my lion. They are very curious, though, so I am always aware of where he is in the tank.

Tonight I brought my system into the 21st century.
I connected my RO unit directly to the pipes and installed float valves in my water making reservoir and my ATO reservoir. This means no more connecting the RO unit to the faucet of the sink... I can actually use my sink for other purposes. No more turning on and off the water (and forgetting and overflowing onto the floor). I'm all automated. Welcome to the year 2009.

Once I buy a controller then I'll have all the little gadgets and niceties that I want for this system.

haha wheres the idol on all those recent pics?
I had to get rid of my idol a couple of months back... it was intent on killing my rays. Was doing great, though... super healthy.

Unreal. One day I will step up to the big leagues. Right now its baby steps. Working my way up. As my fish grow my tanks grow.

I thought my 300 gallon was big this tank is massive! Nice Tank man, I noticed no Angels?
Not with stingrays. Angels are, IMO, the greatest sacrifice to having rays. I love them.

why that? will they pick their eyes off?
It's possible. They are known to nip at rays... and no matter where they pick at them, if they bully them enough, the ray is not going to last. Rays really have no defense at all against these types of fish.

how long do your type of rays live for?
I haven't seen any data on that. I've had my yellow for 5 years now and she's not full grown. I'd like to say that I'll have these two for at least 10 - 15 years each but it's hard to maintain things perfectly, without any problems in that amount of time. In the years I've had mine, we've already had several challenges that we had to overcome... such as aggression, goiter, jumping out...
