They are sooo cute!!!!! I wish picassos were in my price range.
They're just little babies too!
The Picasso's from here are pretty much the best price you will find anywhere on them, and I believe they are on sale for $94.99 too.
That bandit angel in your avitar.... I will NEVER be able to afford him!~
That is one gorgeous fish!!~

Okay, apparently, my little babies took an interest in my red open brain and decided to host it. They are in loooove with it and won't leave it. Sometimes they will take turns pushing and shimmying each other out of it, and sometimes, they will cuddle up together in it. (awwww) They push the snails and hermits away from it when they get too close.

Not sure how happy the brain is going to be about it, and as cute as it is to see, I'm a little worried. Won't the hosting kill the brain? Or, more importantly, isn't there a good chance that the brain may eat them??
I would absolutely be heartbroken if my brain ate my babies!
I guess this means that they are adjusting pretty well to their new little home, huh?

This one looks like they are whispering to each other. LOL!~

Actinics on and they're still at it....

I'm thinking I should make something to go over the brain during the night because I don't want its feeder tentacles to come out and the brain end up eating these little babies because I'm sure that they aren't going to know what those things mean.... will they?

I love the diary and pics! We started our tanks on the same day and basically with similar components... establied/cured LR and bagged LS.
My parameters have been very similar to yours but I'm having temp issues... trying to climb too high. Oh my tank is 75 with a sump/refugium setup. I'm going through 5th day of diatoms... luckily it's only a very mild dusting, but I noticed when it showed up.
So far I haven't put in much livestock... Tomiyama Shrimp Goby pared up with a Pistol Shrimp, CUC and a bunch of corals.

wow they are so cute=P
lmao they look so cool in ur brain idk but best of luck. i know some things actually prosper from having clowns host it b/c it get protection and gets feed by the clowns.
im pretty sure they would run for it if the feeder tenicles start coming out but im not a expert sorry
nice clowns kate and thats nice u got the temp in ur tank stable.
im also worried about my tank it hit 79 today only b/c someone turned up the heat by accident. i really hope that in the summer it will all be fine.

The new fish are AWESOME!!! I would think THEY would be ok in the brain as an anemone is a much much more aggresive feeder and they can survive in the mass of tents there...I would say at the small size they are it shouldn't be a huge annoyance to your brain but monitor it and see if it still opens and looks happy. If it does then hey no harm no foul, yah know! But if it stays shrunk and doesn't open then time to problem solve.....

Best of luck, CONGRATS!!!

Oh wow! That's awesome to know! I was having temp issues yesterday and was aggravated. My temp was staying 83-84 with the lights on and 81 with them off. We kept the room cooler today and have had no issues at all.
Ugh, sorry to hear about the diatoms. I sure hope that I don't get any of it, though like you, I have noticed a very light dusting of it on the sanbed, mainly on one side.
I've never heard of a Tomiyama Shrimp goby, I'll have to look that one up!~

Thanks for visiting and thanks for the compliment!~

Aren't they the cutest???
They are just babies and have the cutest, most entertaining personalities already!
I'm definately keeping my eye on the clowns and the brain. I hope that they run for it too when they see feeder tentacles!

79 isn't bad though. Why did you worry?

Thanks, peef!~

But clowns and anemones are known to have that "symbiotic" relationship and an anemone knows not to eat the clown, doesn't it?

The brain doesn't seem that much affected by the clowns, though it was much more fluffy and folded up before they started molesting it. Afterwards, the folded parts started drooping and laying a little more flat. I'll keep an eye on both parties!

I see why they are called picassos. They are absolutely stunning! You did good. Pos tmore pics when you can.
Sorry to hear about your heat problems, but think you still have one of the nicer 14gl I have seen.
My understanding it is the carpets that give problems to fish.

I cooled down the livingroom as well by turning on the ceiling fan and turned the MH's off, our first 80 degree day was the other day and I saw the temp in the tank slowly creep to 82.4 and that's when the alarm went off.
My diatom dusting started in the front in a small spot, then got another on the back side (have a see-through setup) and day 3 there were little spots here and there but luckily it's just a mild dusting and my big turbo snails are having a party. Anything that I've seen on the larger rock pieces has been cleaned up quickly. Also the dusting in the sand bed stopped 2 days ago and tiny spots started showing in the glass, here and there.
We had a fish food party at our reef club yesterday and I was wondering if I should start a phosban reactor or even a diatom media in a filter sock and they all told me to save my money and that the diatoms will be in a week or two. So I'm following them and not doing anything differently :)
I think you've got me convinced that Picasso Clowns will be my next clowns and will get them for the 150 when we get it up and running. I'm going to move my False female and True male to the 75 next week when it's time to start taking the 55 down.
:)

Yes, I have ORAglo for them, but it was hit and miss with them yesterday with it. When I put some in, if it fell within their reach while they were in the brain, they would get it. If it floated down away from the brain, they didn't even try to go after it. They're so silly! They better leave that brain from time to time and EAT!
