The ammonia is what needs to be 0 too..hmmm....But you even had ammonia when the Big A tested right?

Nope never had nitrites, and when big a tested it everything was at zero except a really small amount of nitrites I believe

. Does the rise in nitrates mean the cycle is going but just going slow? And shouldnt my ammonia hit zero as the nitrates rise?

Well I had ammonia and nothing else....I guess it happens, but you still have ammonia, so who knows

WHY? What you need to do is get levels to 0...ammonia especially and they need to stay there...maybe you should do a small w/c again....
