oh yeah, sorry dude, my bad. But I'm just guessing that you're still gathering your ammonia popluation, and they haven't put out enough of the other chemicals to produce readings there. if you're at all worried, you could throw in a piece of raw shrimp in there to get some more ammonia going. I do that will all my tanks. I have heard though that some people never see a spike and that their tanks only have mini cycles...idk though cause I've always had substantial readings

Meow I was thinkin about doing that also, maybe going 2morro if im not to tired after work.
And I can wait for the cycle to finish I'm in no rush It'll give me time to put some cash in the bank for school rather than blowing all of it on this SW tank haha

Indeed, which my g.f will get mad about. Plus its not good for me my insurance is comming up and school tuition
but im pushing 40+ hours each week at work lately, and the biggest expense I have untill i start to stock my tank is 500$ for the lights and what not. But once I start stocking I'm just gonna buy like one thing every week so I can save money at the same time and give my tank time to adjust.

Good Ideas.....just wait til you get to the store and you see 2 things...LOL...Try filling a 225g with coral....LOL

I buy a lot of frags, and then I'll buy ONE nice piece..you know like a $40 or $50 one...

Screw frags Im going to buy the bigger pieces because since im new I need soemthing thats already growing and good if i buy a frag wouldnt it be easier to kill?

NOOOO...LOL...If you are worried about killing something...get a $10 frag..it will hurt less than killing a $50 piece

this is true.. well I was looking at the corals at big als and they have small medium and large for everything and the small ones are like 20$ each which isnt that bad maybe they are frags?

LOL...that's usually how it comes....remember frags will grow too

I wanted to have like maybe 3 big pieces(that have arms that sway(suncoral duncan frogspawn) and the rest like zoos and shrooms to fill it up.
Oh yeah BTW the test kit is from red sea haha

Red Sea is ok...not great...I have one test by them...I still think you should get a 2nd opinion.
I got a frogspawn frag, and if you saw my 225 thread it is growing really well

Found it looks amazing and I hate you for havign a sting ray cuz i love those things! When i went to florida when i was little me and some local guys i met use to catch them by stepping on them and grabbing there tails they they shot up. kinda scary and stupid now that i think about it haha
