They may not be acceptable in a reef tank because they sometimes pick at and steal food from your corals.
should I be worried?

my cleanner shrimps body is about 1.5 inch anc then the antenas.
Maybe SPANKO will stop by and tell me if getting a peppermint is to much with the cleanner.

Oh yeah when I woke up this morning my glass was green! lol I had an algae bloom over night just on my glass and it was the type of algae that usually grows in the freshwater tanks.

Two Lysmata sp. shrimp in a 10 gallon will probably cause some in fighting and perhaps even the death of one of them.

Does that mean a cleanner and a peppermint? Are they both Lysmata species?
So to get rid of my apistia(spelling?) just go for the boiling water?

Lysmata wurdemanni peppermint shrimp.
Lysmata amboinensis
skunk cleaner shrimp
From wetwebmedia
"With plenty of cover and conscientious feeding, cleaner shrimp can be kept more than one to a tank; though all shrimps identified as cleaners will consume one another to a degree, given a lack of alternate food or cover."

so say I feed the tank 2 times a day. The cleanner shrimp usually stays to one corner. Then would you think it would be okay or dont risk it?

I personally wouldn't risk it in a 10g.
