Yeah false alarm I see the tenticles growing again. Whys yours brownish red? Do they come in different colours? Mine is a purple blue colour with white tips. Also my tenticles on mine are much longer. They're only short and fat like that when its feeding time.
Another question, I have coraline growing on my PH's and the pump for my refuge. Will it block anything? Should I scrape it off them? Or am I okay? Also on my PH'S I have brown hair algae right where the fan blowns. Should I get rid of it? I saw that big als display tanks have the brown hair algae flowing on their PH's also.

HMMM...I have not spot fed my new plate...BUT I also think mine is dieing....the little tentacle things have not been coming out, and even though the plate is still green...the mouth looks different...I am wondering if my CBS and peppermint bothered it too much...
BUT I am also just leaving it and waiting..

My cleanner shrimp tries to steal food from my LTP soemtimes, it goes right ontop of the mouth and everything. But the plate never closes up
So I dont think they would get to bothered by the critters. Maybe its still acclimating, you did say it was new!
