naa, I don't think there would be any reason to weld a stand. A strongly built wooden stand would do just fine, and be cheaper.
My 600th post! w00t!
You can build it out of wood, but longterm you would be better off with welded frame. Also it might even be cheaper.

I have never worked with epoxy before does it come in colors?
Are you going to paint or anything for the background?

It doesn't come in colors, however you can buy pigments to mix in, which is what i will be doing...I'm going to get some black pigment to mix in with it.

Hey Bronco, Maybe I'm not getting it right here, but I thought that by this pic, the glass was going inside the tanks front????
Sitting on and sili'ed to the corner braces. As well as sili'ed to the front bracing? Which IMO would make the most sense. But.... how are you going to get the 10' pane of glass in at this point? Or am I just not getting it right?

wouldnt you like to know!!! thats my secret....that i haven't figured out yet,lol....but i dont think it'll be a problem angeling it in...but we'll see, but for now be supportive and say OF course it'll fit in!!!....it wont be siliconed to the 45, that drawing was a bit off.

OH man! Did not think of that one. If the angle in don't work maybe you can cut a slit on the side and slide it in then seal that back up some how.

Maybe you can cut a sheet of plywood that is the same size as the glass will be and test it out. I am sure the glass is going to be much more heavy. I would hate for you to bust that panel of glass trying to fit it in. I would try the wood first JMO

Yeah, I would definately try a piece of wood first, to make sure that you can fit it in. Either that, or figure out how to take one of the braces off to do it. Good luck man.

yes, i will get something non glass and lighter to try it out...last night i was looking at the tank and thinking about someones comment about where my glass was going...and it just dawned on me...holy s....i didn't even consider the idea that the glass just MAY not be able to angle in here....lol, what a pain that would be...but either way i'll get it figured out...didn't come this far to just quit

Most ply tanks you put the glass in THEN the cross braces on the top. You just go back and Epoxy those later.
Lookin good BTW
