How much MAS epoxy would you recommend to do 2 coats covering 40 square feet. This is for a 180 gallon tank.
BTW thanks for the tip about defender.com

I havent really checked, but have been told 20/25ft per catalyzed gallon.

Who did you end up getting the glass from?
Some company in richmond is ordering it through a glass shop over on emerson ave...so it's pretty close actually...and a great price

This looks like sooo much work.
I know it is fun to do but I was curious what this was going to cost. I mean you probably make good money at a job so figure your hourly wage into it and see what it truly costs. I am not knocking it just curous hw much it is t this point. I wanna do one if yours turns out right and my time is not wrth much lol.
I am just curious if it would be into the 5k range as it seems like it after this amount of time.

i suppose if you took in every hour you work on it...it may go up that in the few K(depending on how efficient you are with your time)...but i mean its free time, what else am i going to do, watch tv? lol...honestly it takes about 15-20 minutes to lay a layer of epoxy...so its really not that bad...just time consuming because you have to wait for the layer to stiffen up before you can put another layer on...so lets say 3 layers per side...there are 18 sides, no including the wavebox...so 54 layers..1080minutes...18hrs.....so i guess the longest part might be building the wood part...but the hard part is that you have to let things set, like when you glue the wood together, you want to use clamps, etc to make sure you are super tight on any seams...but i can't imagine it using over 100hrs max....thats all just a rough estimate since i never really kept track of the building part....but you could have from 4-12+hrs every coat to let things set depending on temp and schedule....i could be way off though.
