Good stuff Bronco! So I think the top of the tank is the portion with the three rectangular holes. Do you plan on doing anything to "finish the look" there?

Just fill your garage with shipping pop corn.

not much, i have to sand some things, and then put a small layer of epoxy on it, but since its noit going to be seen except in the garage i'm not going to waste money sprucing the design up

Bronco....Great tank, but you already know that!
Funny you guys should refer to the movie "Back to the Future".
I just came across this thread and reading it the last few nights made me feel like I was "headed to the future"!
I have a question about your "return" you were talking about.

You were putting it in the bottom with a regular old drain cover?
RU covering it with live rock? Arent you worried about snails, crabs, ect. being trapped in the suction? Or did I misunderstand?
One more thing. I think it would be cool if you took video of the "Filling of the Tank" if not for "your following" just for your own pleasure.
OK two more things, why don't you just epoxy your garage floor when you get finished,it looks like you have a good start. Ha Ha...Just kidding...
Great project!
Good Luck.....

haha, thanks, you are correct as the drain will come through the bottom close to the top...it will be surrounded by rock, but not covered....I might have a basket type cover for the drain..but it's going to be a 3" drain so i don't think I'm too concerned about it getting clogged up..the likelihood of the entire drain getting covered is pretty slim.
and yesssss, i should just cover the garage with epoxy, unfortunately i can't imagine doing all that, lol.

Look what happens, I miss a few days and I get back and people are wanting to fill your tank with horse swimmers. I TOLD YOU TO GET THAT WORKING PARTY AND FINISH THAT TANK!!! If you already had saltwater in there you wouldnt be getting these insane offers, but hell look at the bright side, horse studding can easily go for a couple grand so just imagine what a tank full would be worth...
I say go for it - costs will be a wash.

Dude, seriously....we have kicked back and watch glue dry. We waited patiently as you headed off into Honeymoon bliss. I think we have even seen Brett Favre trying to make a comeback 2 days after he retired.

LET"S GET THIS THING ROLLING!!!!!!!!
jus' kiddin' Luke. It's looking awsome.
What a huge undertaking you have committed to and we are all waiting with baited breath to see if it will really work. You know, like, someone has to be the Guinea Pig.
