I have a couple other sources I'm still checking......

ahhh, you're going heavy duty...mine is only 1/2" thick and doing great...regular glass i got mine at a little under $200

I was thinking 1/2" because with the tank being 30" tall, I'd like to have 2" sealing surface all around the glass, so that would make the glass height technically 26" which I could get away with 1/2", but like the added thickness....Overkill yes, but piece of mine.....Why did you cross brace your tank as well? That $1660.00 price was local....I could get Low Iron a heck of alot cheaper from GlassCages........

haha, cross braced for piece of minD--just another safety feature that can't hurt to have for me ya know...being that long i was worried..if i could have gotten that long of a peice of glass cages i might have gotten it, but their longest was not enough...i think i had just under a 2" seal on the sides...and a bit over on the top and bottom

I figured that's why you cross braced the tank, because of the length.....I like those added safety designs.......

WOW, that is the best. I live just outside of hamilton, oh and I have $20 to come swim in that thing. Just let me know when to come and I will be there lol seriously not kidding at all. I thought laying down inside my 125g was great I can't imagine swimming from one side to the other. I am short enough I could probably turn around and do laps. That would be a youtubevideo for sure
BTW the tank looks sweet!

2 Sumps???? feel me in......I could help you out.....
the way the stand is I'm going to be using two sumps, or sump refuge combo basically...unfortunately i can't find a good rubbermaid container without wasting a lot of space that i'd love to utilize, but special tanks are in the couple hundred dollars etc, so not sure i want to go that far for a couple sumps and just deal with rubbermaids.

lol, well i figure if i can work the tank in, the rest is guaranteed to fall into place...I mean who can have a fish tank without proper stadium theatre seating? If i would have gotten the furniture first, the tank would have been years down the road,lol...we technically had a loveseat on the wall, but of course moved it out of the picture to map the hole.
THanks bgrae, its been a blast to do such a project

Sweet bowl chair!!
I really miss my old one. Apparently the gross total weight rating on one of those is around 250 pounds. Apparently when an offensive lineman, north of 300# blops down, the base can't handle that sort of load.

Of course. I saw the love seat. If only our wives really knew what they were getting into when they married fishtank people...
