If you don't mind, I have a quick question for you. I live in Muncie and there are absolutely no good fish stores here, so I was wondering, what are some good stores in Indianapolis? Thanks.

i apologize if this has already been addressed but that current wall opening looks way slimmer than the actual height of the tank. is that just a hole to mock up and your going to actually be cutting to the blue tape or are you going with the slim viewing window?

btw, build looks great! any plans yet for the rest of the plumbing like a two valve water change system?
the hole will be a bit bigger but overall pretty close to the same...there is no reason to have any large of a hole since the edges are all wood..so i'll just have a hole the size of the glass. As far as plumbing I will have a drain system, and the water reservoir is close enough to pump into the sumps as well.

Oh man, I just stumbled across this post last night and have been reading it for hours catching up! I thought wow, this has soooo many pages it has to be done, so I read through it all to find at the end, its STILL being worked on. OMG the suspense! Its killing me! I want to see it done! lol. Now I'm just gonna have to sit and wait with the rest of these eager people. Keep it coming. Your doing a great job, its really gonna pay off!!

So Bronc did you think when you started that this was going to take as long as it is? 6 months now from your original post and still much to be done. Just curious to see if you had a timeline in mind when you started and how it is progressing along it.

I figured making the tank wouldnt be to bad, but i have no idea as far as timeframe how long itd actually take to get in the wall since i've never done anything like that...but I'm happy with the progress I think...its been a smooth ride for the most part minus a hitch here and there...but i'm happy with it overall.

Will your garage door cause any conflicts with the lights, or what not?
its a definite possibity that it could, i havent decided how i want to do lighting anymore, i dont think the lightrail will work for me, or save me a light, so not quite worth using it...i think i can get by without affecting the door, but not sure.

+1 on the garage door thing , I was also wondering about debris from outside falling into the tank
I would be worried about toxins from grass fertilizer , pesticides , exhaust fumes ect... (maybe I just worry too much
) I saw another thread where a guy had to run a house size a/c as a chiller b/c the tank was in the garage. I am sure you have thought of all this , I just hope we don't need to have a telethon to help you Finnish this project!

OOOO I forgot to say............GET TO WORK!!!!!!!!!! GEZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAA

Wow, I think I might have to come down tomorrow and help.
lol, I wont be able to do any more today without move ball valves...I have two more runs to do on the OM...and i worked on the drain yesterday, but haven't finished it quite yet...I also want to coat it black i think....but shoot, I was thinking my sequence was 2"..well its 1.5"..so my drain in tank will be 3"..then goes down to 2" under the tank to the pump...oops...but oh well, gives it plenty of water in the drain instead of having to work harder to drain...
