LARGE Plywood Tank Build

Did the glass come in yet for the sump?
Do the flashlight fish come out in the day?
Do you have caps yet, if not by the time you get up and running I should a piece you can have if you pay shipping. It may cost to much but it will be a nice size orange cap.

Coming this Fall to Bronco300's Plywood Tank "Eating Nemo"

I couldn't resist it. It's the first thing I though of when you mentioned flashlight fish. I think the 500 times I watched finding nemo with my daughter has something to do with it. But anyways it's looking good Bronco!!! It's coming along quite nicely
haha, thanks bud!

no, the glass literally will be next month, meaning November probably or at the late late october...really sucks. The flashlight fish really stay out most of the time, I dont have a ton of hiding spots for the in the 75 except a couple....I have no caps yet, but caps and montis and milleporas are what i love the most and will probably have in the 450....we can always check out, may be too much, but we'll see.

I'll try and get some pictures today, I moved over some fish into the tank that seem to be doing very well so far...I think the bannerfish I have love it most of all...he swims all the length, and will kind of follow you around when by the gass
I still havent heard about my *()% glass yet...I'm going to get real mad if i have to wait till next month again. I'm hoping to tear down the 75 very very soon and move over a few corals, sell most, and get the real lighting over the 500.

Tank is lookin' great. I went down there tonight for a few hours and helped clean up the garage. Hopefully the glass for the sumps will be here soon so I can get those built and we can get the OM and all the pumps done. The 11' of view is something awesome to see.

Hey....I'm stumped on the 45's that are used on the reinforcing......I know you have pics posted here, but what are the angles they are cut.....I played alittle tonight after work 1:00 am and have the bottom pieces, but can't figure the angles for the vertical pieces........ I have the inital skin built, and "dado" and "rabbited" all the joints....I'm going to be incorporating a steel framing around the tank, that will be hidden underneath a thin skin to make the tank "very" rigid.....I'm going to pour epoxy between the 2 skins and laminate the angle iron in place......Will need to pull the welder out this weekend and brush up on my skills....... The dimensions of the new "woody" is 70"Lx48"Wx30". Still haven't totally come up with a plan for bracing the tank front to back yet....Possibly steel rod embedded in wood skin and epoxied or eurobrace with flat still tying the front to back and 1 center brace???? Throw some crazy ideas out there!!!!!!!
