It stays in the lower to mid 70's day and night. I have no heater and the corals, fish and inverts, seem to be growing and lovin' it! Thanks for the compliments. I am ordering a HQI next for the tank, time for some clams and sps!!!

I have been having issues with my anemone being shy. I placed it on a rock out front. It then decided to move the back side of the big rock and perch out of sight. Last week it went on the move again. Now it has decided it wants to be in the same spot as my Xenia. of course my Xenia frag had just moved from the small rock it was on to the main large rock. If you look in the last pic i posted of the tank look at the xenia and right behind it is the carpet. So far they are living together fine. I thought the anemone would have stung the xenia but they are both doing great. the xenia keeps growing. I wonder what would happen if they mated

Carpet anemone is pink and white. It split a while ago but then my peppy shrimp decided it would be a good entree. I still have the original half it likes moving around. That coral would be a anchored Frogspawn. It is the slowest growing frogspawn perfect for the nano tank so it won't out grow too quickly!!

Love your tank! :cheer: You have certainly inspired me! I have a size 29 Biocube that just got done cycling with LR. Over the weekend I made sure all my LR was where I wanted it and added the substrate (my snails are still upset at me over the duststorm created by that project--and I rinsed it several times!) and now it's starting to look like a real tank! I hope to add a critter or two this week. Seeing how great your tank looks makes me really excited about how great mine could look, too!

I do have one question--what type of heater do you use in it without doing some sort of modification to the Biocube? My temp seems to stay between 73 and 76, so I'm thinking about a heater for winter time (during the summer here in Arizona I'll have no problem keeping the tank temp at around 80 degrees all the time!).

Thanks!!
I never used a heater, I left it at the 76 range, it was constant day and night. Since taking the top of the tank off the temp dropped to 69 and now I have crazy evaporation!! I went with a stealth 50w, it fit perfectly in my third chamber, all the rest are filled up with stuff, chaeto, LR rubble, chemipure,....... Most people I have seen put it in the first chamber, it seems to have the best movement! I created a small current in the stagnant third chamber so I could put a heater and purigen in it! Let me know if you need any help!
