You might wanna rethink that whole marriage thing if he's so scared of things that resemble private parts.

Very nice looks clams you people have, I really want to get one but I'm very worried about my clowns pushing it over. Everytime I add any rock or coral they rearrage the darn thing. I'd need to anchor it somehow.

A seventh species, T. rosewateri, has been discovered in the Indian Ocean, but not much is known about this species.
How many watts of MH would the T. crocea need?

if they are under 3 inches, their mantle isnt large enough to get the food they need, so they commonly need to be fed phytoplankton. above that, if you have the lighting tha tyou should, then no, they dont need to be fed.
tim: just so you know, croceas prefer the rock and are one of the highest light demanding clams. id consider putting it near or at the top. a 150 DE HQI should do it as long as its under the light and not right near the bottom. ive had my crocea since december, so not very long, but its right under my 150 watt hqi in my 40 breeder. it seems to like it though even though i do have odyssea bulbs (but i did get a german made bulb for 35 bucks at my reef club meeting. it was smuggled in from germany, and its not one of those cheap ones that companies jack up the price for just because they were german made. im goign to replace it soon)

Those halides are awful close to that water! I would recommend 8-10". Croceas are the most light demanding clam.I would place them in the rockwork. Derasas and squamosas do well on the sandbed. Croceas and maximas are rock boring clams...I think they should be high up in the tank.

I guess 5 inches wide, and 4 inches tall. I guess it has grown 2 - 3 inches of mantle while I've had it.
