I noticed my banded shrimp "strikes" out at the clowns when they come near him, is this normal behavior?
yup this is normal, mine do it all the time, but no damage done.
Yep they're fish eaters.. they'll eat whatever they can catch or overpower.

the clowns are doing good. still not bonded, and they tend to avoid each other, but no fighting or picking...
yeah, I read alot about the coral banded since I last posted that. They all seem to be very territorial and aggressive. Its cool though, I like the little guy.

So I fed my tank a little bit ago, and I was getting lost at looking at all my prettys, when out of the corner of my eye I saw movement on the new mushroom rock in the hair algae... I glanced at it and saw what I thought to be a little star. WELL, I stuck my hand in there to get it out of the algae, and it darted really quick into a whole underneath the algae. As you all know, stars dont dart. It freaked me out, so I got my baster and tryed to push whatever it was out of the hole. There are a hella lot of tunnels and holes in this rock so whatever it was got away. Well not even ten minutes later I look over (the tank is right up next to my couch) and saw a tiny little CRAB!!! Its solid white, and hairy looking. Tiny, about the size of a dime. I reached for my camera, stuck in the drawer right underneath the tank, and it darted for the hole again. These were the pics I was able to get of the tiny part of himself he was showing.

these zoas are on a massive clam, you can somewhat see its mouth. its still alive too. Im bout to nix that aptasia

Im not sure. Its starting to show signs of recieding.I'm offereing to give it to anyone for free who thinks they can bring it back to health on maast, so Im not expecting to have it much longer.
On the other hand, I'm going to the San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium today, and Im going to stop by a couple lfs that are near it. I really want a new fish. Maybe I'll get a midas blenny today, I've been thinking about that fish for a while...

So I went to the zoo today and it was awesome! I'll post some pics in a bit. I also went to a couple fish stores, I got a huge black striped feather duster, 10 red leg hermits, and a torch with at least 5 heads. Its somewhat of a redish rust color. Its cool. The place I got it from was having a sale where all corals were $22. I was so overwhelmed, and couldnt decide. There was this amazing flourescent yellow carpet anemone, and it was the perfect size, for 22 dollars! I wish I had my metal halide pendant already! yeah, but anyways, Ill post pics tomorrow of the new goodies.

i just bought 5 of these super neon shrooms. this picture is under normal lights, not atinics. 3 will go in here, 2 in the 8. Let me know what eveyone thinks. positive feedback is always good. :)
