I like all those names!
I just fed him by hand.......................NOT!! I used a feeding stick , just thawed the prawn out enough to stick it on the end. He came right out of his house and took it very gently. I am sitting here now just watching him take all the sand out of the PVC pipe that I put in there. He is SO cool! allot of fun to watch , even when he is doing nothing he is VERY busy
I think I need to break up some of the LR rubble for him , the pieces seem a little to big for him to move around. He tried twice to break a small piece but could not do it.

OMG! I took out some pieces of LR and broke them in little nickle to quarter size pieces. The first one in, he flew out of his house and gave the claw (The long plastic grabber thing ... dont know what its called..lol ) a kick..just a little one. After that he just sat there like a little kid and waited for my to lower them in , he took them out of the claw and placed them at the door of his house. He carefully examined all of them one at a time! it was so funny , I cant believe how gentle he was and how he seemed to know that these were for him to play with. Now he is moving them around like a 3yr old with legos. yep this is my Fav. little sea creature for sure!

actually the "grabber" and the "claw" was the thing I was using to reach in the tank!!! LOL
But thanks for the diagram anyway
I am sure that will help too!

dumb camera! still working on the clarity of the pic's...I will get it ! these dont do him justice , his color is bright!

Well I'm happy I could help you with the name. If you can in the future try to get some film of him so we can enjoy him too

ok.... any ideas on a CUC?? I put 2 red leg hermits and one med size turbo snail in the tank today
So far so good
I need something to eat that little green algae! Remmy kinda eyeballed the turbo at one time , so I went in and moved the snail out of view. Remmy seems to stay close to his home , now If one of this guys wander into the tunnel of death.....well i think we all know how that will end!
Any thoughts???

not to be redundant (posted in my thread) but cerith snails, they will go undetected for a while cleaning the substratum but will eventually get caught by remmy and he will have a work out

sometimes you have to repeat for me! lol....well 1 red leg down
I turned the light of , just had the blue light on. He was looking for rocks for his back door. I found him a couple and gave them to him. I thought he was lockin up for the night....we were sittin on the couch..."CLICK....CLICK" ooooooo.... he got one! took the crab in his house , the weird thing was after the clicks , it looked like smoke coming out of the other end of the PVC!! I told Cyndi. "maybe he has a BBQ in there!" lol... it was really weird , looked just like smoke and lasted a good 15-20sec. I dont know if he was "fanning" the crab or what. I read that once they know we are giving them free food , and they build a trust with us , that they will not "hunt". having said that , they will still eat our CUC's but they will last longer
sucks b/c that little crab was doin a GREAT job mowin the lawn!

I haven't put in any CUC yet, it would take awhile for him to kill them I think. I'd feel bad for the crab or snail. I do put in saltwater feeder shrimp when I can get my hands on them though. Fresh water sometimes, but he doesn't always find them in time before they die. He has a good time hunting them for sure. Can't wait to see how he does, sounds like he loves his new home.

looks like the turbo snail will be around for awhile , Remmy has walked over him a few times and never gave him a 2nd look. I think if the snail finds his way into the PVC we may have a problem , but remmy has built up his door ways pretty tight! lol Everyday I have to smash up more LR to give him smaller pieces to play with. He is a busy little guy

I forgot if you said but how big is Remmy? I found a surviving shrimp in my tank, he's been dodging death for about 2 weeks now.

My LFS had a 2 inch-ish mantis shrimp that they got in today! The guy that was helping me said he had the unfortunate pleasure of putting it in its tank and that it attacked him! HAHA I laughed so hard at his story. He told me to put my hand in the tank with it and to try and pet it. No thanks! They also had an octopus come in and he said the girl that removed it from the bag screamed that it attached to her fingers and she nearly threw it across the room. I told them to come back to me when they had some good stories about mishaps in their eel tank.
