Nope just leave the coraline alone and it grows by itself, you can scrape it off the glass though obviously. They also make chemicals to boost your coraline growth... I have never used them personally though. What I did was just add some calcium and it started growing like crazy to the point where I have to frequently scrape it off the glass.
Hopefully this isn't asking to much, but would you mind telling me what the product was you used for the calcium? Thanks again.

Welcome!
Good looking tank! You're off to a great start, especially posting here you'll get tons of advice. Here is mine:
I'd look into a HOB (hang on back) protein skimmer or you can get an Aquaclear or something. Pretty much beef up your filtration. Another powerhead will help too. Oh and personally I'd get more rock too; about 10-15 lbs. more.
Next I'd get T5HO. They'll be high enough output to penetrate to the bottom but not cook the tank. I have the Nova Extreme, but there are better/more expensive ones out there. But since heat is an issue I'd go with T5s over metal halides (for your tank at least).
I'm in Arizona so I'm constantly battling heat lol.
First, thanks for the compliment on the tank! Last week when I bought my LR, I was talking to the owner of my LFS and we were discussing my options with my Eclipse tank. We were discussing how I could completely remove the lid assembly (lights/filtration) and buy a Skilter and a T5. That option sounded pretty good, however, I haven't heard much about Skilters on this forum (advise?). Also could you possibly send a link of your Nova Extreme? I just searched online for one but wasn't sure which one would be best.
I bought 24lbs or so of LR just to start off and get a foundation going. I'm definitely buying more!

Definitely plan on adding more LR. Waiting on my LFS to get their next shipment in of Fiji. You are the first to ask what my plans are. Really I would like to have a mixture of Fish/Coral. I want a lot of color in the tank as well as eye grabber fish. For example, couple clowns, yellow watchman goby, maybe a dragonet. Still learning though about what I can and cannot have so any advise is awesome! I know I need to add better lighting if I want colorful corals, inverts, etc. From what I was told, with only 40w of lighting right now, I could probably get away with some inverts, a couple polyps, and some mushrooms. At first the guy at my LFS didn't think I could do much at all, but once I told him I had the 50/50 bulbs, he said those may work.

Right polyps and shrooms should work for you.
Do you mean skimmer? I don't know what a skilter is.
If you want something fairly inexpensive look into the aquaclear mods to turn them in to a refugium. A lot of people have one as a fuge and the other running with carbon or other chemical media. But do a lot of research and decide what it is that you
want.
I'll send you the link of a few lights that I like.

Lol looks like you can't get PMs yet.
This site sells stuff so they don't allow us to post competitors sites. But google works wonders (hint: "fish need it" all one word).
I have 2 of the 2x24w Nova Extreme so I have 4 bulbs over my tank (29g all glass, pretty similar to yours just not as tall).
So I'd recommend searching for 4 bulb fixtures. Just make sure it is HO (high output), because you have a tall tank you need the light penetration. After that, it just depends on your budget.

If you google Skilter, I believe it's a filter with a protein skimmer built into it.

Ah I see. Haven't really heard anything on it. I say give it a shot. It probably won't be the best but it'll get get the job done.

1" Drain w/ DIY (do it yourself) overflow box

Sump

I still want to get cheato down in the sump and my overflow doesn't work like I want. But I'm very happy with it. I have the Reef Octopus NW-110 protein skimmer.
