That solder you guys got should say that it has a rosin (flux) core. So he shouldn't really need the extra flux, but a light coat on the wires wouldn't hurt anything.

Yeah it says rosin.....BUT since he was not 100% sure we bought the flux..LOL...You know how far everything is from us....so we figured WTH
