Colorado - shooter went into a movie theater with that new batman movie in full riot gear, threw some smoke bombs and started unloading into the crowd. 12 dead, 59 wounded.

all 4 guns were purchased legally since may. an ar, a remington 870, a glock 40, and another undisclosed pistol. all four weapons wqere brought to the theatre. he also purchased 6000 rounds. his home is bobby trapped with explosives.

Someone is mentally ill and commits mass murder. If he used a knife, would we then ban knives?
We have a free society but with that there is sometimes a downside with tragic results. Here it is. A young man with mental problems goes homicidal, killing many. That doesn't mean guns are bad.

I am a concealed weapons permit holder.... IF everyone in that theater was one too, what would the outcome have been with that?
Take away guns from the people who use them right doesn't take them away from the criminals. I would venture to say less then 10 percent of all crimes are with legally purchased guns, WHY, because that can be traced to "that gun". Criminals don't want to be caught and they sure aren't going to "play fair". When YOU CONTROL "GUNS", you only control those whom use them right, for the most part. You do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to a criminal. Don't kid your self, its easy in today's society to get "black market" stuff. Those guns on the shelves didn't kill any one, the guns in my safe didn't kill anyone, NO it was the sicko with the intent to kill that killed those innocent people!

And don't get me wrong, I've known about this incident since 12pm today, its made me sick all day.
And this might be over the line for this site.... if so then delete it.... But I DO NOT condone suicide by any means, but if it comes to a person taking their own lives or another persons, by all means these sicko's deserve to take their own! I can't stand those people whom must do things like this, but they CAN do us all the favor and take them selves out of the gene pool! Delete if you must, but these people make me adamantly sick!

I completely agree with what you say Jerth. I was just at a shooting range today with my dad firing our rifle, surrounded by several other people lawfully and responsible firing their weapons. There was even a news team there interviewing the owner of the shop about the second amendment, his opinion of guns, etc. I was in the background watching it!

Jerth you are 100% right. Guns dont kill people, people do.
This has nothing to do with gun laws, it has to do with personal responsibility.
I dont know much about because it makes me sick to know anything more about it, but seeing here his house was bobby trapped and his mother is not shocked. What the crap?! ESPECIALLY this close to Columbine. How does a parent know something is wrong with their child and not take action?
