What do you think about the Maxi-jet 1200 @295gph? Do you know if the outlet moves back and forth or if it is stationary? if it is stationary Im going to buy it as soon as i get off work.

i had started a thread in the fish discussion part about adding another fish. i have a 28 so far it has a ywg, clown goby, and a blue damsel with yellow tail.
i wanted to add my last fish and i cant choose. renogaw said that royal grammas are hard to keep, and i'm not sure if a fridmani, blackcap basslet, or a purpleback pseudochromis would be able to handle the little blue damsel. i just wanted something colorful that would be out in the tank like he is. i'm thinking with this last fish itll be my limit

The outlets are stationary. They are decent powerheads. They are pretty small and move a decent amount of water.

LOL funny how opionions vary.. IDK about them (royal grammas) being hard to keep. I would have to say as far as my experience goes no they are not difficult fish to keep at all. This was my first fish I added to my tank after only 24 hours of it being running. Almost 5 months later and shes still there. Mine isnt mean but she does hold her ground and doesnt let any other fish pusher her around.

so shes out about 70% of the time? i'm reading the description on the damsel from the drs site and it says,"The Yellowtail Damsel is a good choice for beginners since it is less aggressive and does not need as large of a tank as many of the other damselfish. It can be kept in small groups, and prefers to have many hiding places and peaceful tank mates. It will ignore invertebrates in the aquarium and feed on zooplankton and algae. "
so maybe i'm just making out this guy to be a monster when it really isnt?
thanks for you help too!

That is probably a lot better than i could do, looks awsome. BTW i ordered some corals today and am getting a new pump for my tank today also, I wish i had a camera to take pics but i am poor due to this aquarium (and my wedding and Fiance since the wedding is in a month
).
Beautiful tank though.

Nice pics man! Didn't you have 2 Orange/White Clowns? I noticed that there is a black Clown now in your tank. What happened to the other Clown? Did it die?

Thanks rattler.. believe it or not alot of the fuzz in some of the pics was due to the aquarium glass being dirty.. LOL. I realized this after I took the time to take all these pictures... Oh well I'll snap a few more off after I clean the glass and see how it improves.
Yea it was a costly investment to get the camera but, well worth it. Its one of the digital SLR's and having a daughter along with tons of other uses for it, it has prob paid for its self twice now. No more developing pictures you can print out only the ones you really like etc etc...
That Clown, the Orange one? LMAO.. well funny thing.. I had (notice past tense) a Midas Blenny in my tank at one time... known for having a mild temperment adding one to a tank with fish in it already shouldnt be an issue. Well she went praying mantis on everyone for a while. The 2 clowns she actually grabbed hold of one of their fins and shook it like a dog with a toy.. The orange one she happened to grab its dorsal fin and do that too.. well she split it and thats where we are at now.. I call him Mohawk... until or if it ever grows back... the blenny however is no longer she commited sucide doing a peter pan into the back of my tank... Oh well...

Yep it got consumed... by a rather mean Florida Condi Anenome, hes gone too. But after learning about mixing breeds and how you can get away with it, I like the variety now.

SWEET!!
post pics when you get them
... Remember your gorgonians are peaceful but keep them away from other corals they dont play nice. And the ones you purchased are low or NO light corals..you will need to spot feed regularly and they need to be placed in HIGH flow. This will keep algea from growing on them, as any algea will be bad for your gorgonias if by chance it starts to get a build up of cyano it will kill them. Also try not to let any of the branches touch any of your LR. They will get necrosis and rot in the area that is touching.
Good luck man....
I am waiting on getting some rics for my tank.. none of my LFS have any worth buying.. all are dull in coloration..
