what lights do you have PD?
Sunpod 150W halide... it only has a 14K current bulb in it (garbage) it works but its not color popping like the better bulbs are. Soon to be a radium 20K... holds the PAR that a 15K does without the superblue typical 20K spectrum Its just slightly more blue than a good 15K normally has. I cant wait for it.

Ya thanks... my Tubs are out of control over 30 polyps at last count... I bought that 6 polyp frag not even 4 months ago... wow.

Beautiful tank though one of the best...

2 submersable power heads an Aqua Clear 30 and a Koralia nano. Plus an upgraded return pump with a splitter on the return line. There is no substitute for a good CUC. I just got 3 trochus snails and I have a miriad of hermits, nass and astrea snails. However I do scrape the glass before I take pics.
lol And yes I use a skimmer... just the Oceanic Skimmer... $35 but it does work... as long as it is set up right... Thanks for the comments.

I have 2 questions...
How did you upgrade your return pump?
The more CUC the better?
I just like your tank so much and i'm going to buy a biocube 29 and i just want to follow your path.
(skimmer)What do you mean by "as long as it's set up right"?

From what I have read there are 2 pumps that will work as an upgrade. There are prob more but I dont know about them... one is the Maxi Jet 1200 and the other is what I used the Rio1100. You need to take off the intake cover and adjust the return line tube length but after that it works just fine. This allowed me to split the return line to have more flow into the tank. "The more CUC the better" I dont think you can ever have enough of a clean up crew...(well yea you can but...) practically speaking, lots of snails for film algae control, nass snails for sand SHIFTING, and small hermits for sand shifting too. I dont like the large hermits but a decent amount of small hermits I have found to be an asset. Some report them as being a nuisance and I have witnessed a few ganging up on an over turned Astrea snail, not much you can do about that. But for the most part very peaceful in my tank. As for the skimmer... the issue with cheap small skimmers is they are tempermental. They require a certain amount of tweeking that better more expensive skimmers do not. An open top biocube as mine is has a considerable amount of evaporation and its the water level in this venturi type skimmer that keeps it operating along with the proper airflow setting. The key is when you get to set it up for the first time you need to make sure your water level is where it should be. And every setting change you make you need to make sure the water level is where it was when you first set it up. This will ensure an accurate adjustment. After that I think the little Oceanic skimmer works just fine. HTH and by the way that was 3 questions... LOL

Thanks Spanko... you know out of all my anemone pics even my fav which is on my desktop as wall paper. Its the one where the anemone is bubbled nicely and my clowns are in it. I too agree with you.. for some reason this pic has now become my new favorite, it just came out awesome. Thanks for the comments.

So I posted this in the hitchikers forum but I might as well add it to my thread too.
I traded in a large piece of LR last night for some smaller pieces. 2 of the pieces had some decent size holes in them which I assume this guy was hiding. I am pretty sure its a pest most likely majano but its quite large. 2-1/2" across tenticals at least 2" long.
Here are the pics of it and my left side of tank reaquascaped for more coral placement. And a FTS too.
Believe it or not its a rose color with flourescent green tips.

Well if he decides to play nice and not move around or invite siblings and other relatives then he is welcome to stay. If it becomes a nuissance then I will make every attempt to relocate it or if need be NUKE IT...
