WoW sorry that didnt work out for ya bro. I have read alot of places though that zoanthids dont really like high intense light. Akll my zoos seem to be doing great and just growing like mad crazy in my jbj nano. So maybe you should just grow the frags out in that ? LOL. Jk I know you have spent alot on that 40 gal tank so i wish you the best of luck. But in my Opinion you really aint gonna make awhole lot of money in this fragging business. I got plenty of zoas i could probably sell but i like em too much to get rid of.

Yea , I never thought I would make allot of money , I am just hoping to get some coral for myself out of it. Can't wait for the new light , it should be here by Wendsday. I got some really nice frogspawn and hammers today , I will have pic's up later in hte week after I frag them all. Some are single heads and some are 2-3 heads per frag , all of them are between quarter and half dollar size. I have 12 frogspawn and half are pink tip ( very cool) and about 12-13 hammers. Let me know if you would like one they will be 25-30 each , I will let you know when i got pic's

That looks less and less like a frag tank and more like a reef DT all the time.
Good job.
I have some of those zoos with the brown skirts and orange dots but mine are really tall and the have some with green and blue dots mixed in. What is your new light T5? looks like 36in 6 bulb.

WONDERFUL FINALLY SOME PICS. cAN you get some pics of that fish in the first pic on the far right ? What is it ? Looks kinda interesting like a pirannha or something. Some type of cardinal fish ? Like the new lights. Makes the corals come out even better than before. And that pic with your blenny and clown. Awesome. Looks like a GREAT REEF TANK. SO many things in there to sell now.

Thanks guys!!!
Yea it does look like a DT tank huh?
I am going to try to due some fragging today and will probably get some of that egg crate back in there also.
That fish is a Chromis (sp?) fancy name for a yellow damsel with black stripes, cheap fish $10.00. So far I am really happy with the light , it actually looks better then it did wit the 250w MH
It is the 36inch , 4-bulb 156w. I just figured I am going to keep mostly softies so I really don't need all the power. Like I said before the MH light was too much for this tank. Most of my zoa's would not even open , now they are all open and look great! well I better get to work , my knee is killing me today
and I still need to go p/u about 30gal of RO water
then I can start cutting
Thanks again for the comments

does anyone know about the "nite lights" I turn off the white lights then 1 1/2 hrs later the blue go off , but there are 2 little tiney white lights that stay on
no switch to turn them off , is it ok to leave these on all nite
they are not bright , just a slight glow.
Iyach: Yes they are pretty bright , I am very happy with them!

yea they are moon lights. Did they come with a way to change the lens. Some have diff lenses usually blue, I used they blue caps on mine. But thats funny no off switch both my lights have them and they both have off switches. Do they have a seperate plug? If so put it on a timer.

Night lights are great for corals bro. that is what allows them to spawn and grow. At night time most corals and fish spawn and with the moonlights that gives them more of a natural appearance of the moon outside. I leave mine on 24 hours. All the time. Even thinking about getting a couple more for each of my nanos so i can see even more things more better at night and my corals stay open more :) The white or blue moonlights arent gonna hurt your tank at all. Dont stress about it

thanks for the 411 Blazin and Iyach!! and thanks for "turning the page"
I am hip to the whole nite light thing It was just weird that you CAN'T turn it off
anyway ...wanna hear the weirdest story ever??....ok you just said sure
I was setting up my buckets last nite for a water change today and when I mixed the salt and water in the 1st 5 gal bucket I noticed something dark floating around in it but could not really see it due to the salt and water just being mixed. So I just blew it off , well tonite a good 30hrs later mind you , I am changing the water. I look into the bucket , now clear and well mixed.....OMG it's my bleeny!!!!!!!
Well 1st of all the temp was way high stupid heater , but the question...How the h$#@ did he get in there???? I take him out and he is still alive , can you believe this??? Ok this nut case mush have "jumped" out of the tank , I am missing one piece of the glass cover (broke it yesterday while cleaning
) and landed in the bucket BEFORE I ADDED THE SALT AND WATER!!!!!!!!!! then lived thru that..was in there with the big power head blowing him around all nite and day , THEN survived the heater cranking the bucket water up to 90 deg. tossed him back in the tank and last time I checked he is STILL ALIVE. I don't blame you if you dont believe me because I dont believe me either
That could never happen again in 1 million years! I hope he is still alive tomorroe , but I am thinking if he lived thru all of that , I could prob run him over wit hmy car and he would still be ok ... right??
