About how high above are the lights in the pic? Also if you dont mind me askin how much did you pay for the lights and what model etc? Prolly in the thread somewhere, but im to lazy to read Im not gonna even lie lol.

Here are some pic's of the light , now hanging from the celing. I was a little troubled by the fact that I had some "dead spots" on the egg crate. Well after about 1hr of moving it back and forth and adjusting the light , I figured out if I took off the black plastic that holds the 2 pieces of glass together ....wow what a differace!!! no dead spota anywhere on the shelves
And to think it only took me a hour of blowing my breath
now I do need the shades Kat! The light came from a company in cali. don't know if I can say the name here, but it is just a plain old 250w MH no blue lights ( I got those comming from the doc. along with another power head) hte light cost 180.00 delivered. Not a bad price at all. It is a no frills light though, don't even have a on/off on the ballast, I put it on a timmer. WOrks well for me, all I wanted was raw power!!!! on with the pic's!!!

got it at home depot in the lighting section, it is calles egg crate. About 12.00 per sheet and thats more than enough to build 2 shelves like the one in the picture. i used small zip ties at the coners and some in other spots, also a dab of super glue here and there. Then just trimmed off the ends with snips and .....wahla!

was going to add a skimmer but also did allot of research and found cheap ones are worthless and expensive ones pull out all the good stuff as well,then you have to re-add what it pulled out
soooo frequent water changes and tests will take care of that

Aww i was reading your thread and you mentioned my name. I feel so special and sumwhat FAMOUS since someone reMEMBERS ME. I MEAN danggggg. WHATS DA DEAL HOMIE ? I Mean danggg bro i'd say stay away from the chicks you picking up cuz they are just spreading them crabs all over ya. HAHAHAHAHA. YOu know i couldnt resist that one. Thats a ORIGINAL I just came up with out of the blue. Did ya laugh ? HA HA. Well wish someone would say something about my threads but i see i get no love so i aint messed up. Been rather depressed this week and very sad. I recently lost my Pet Cat Wilbur of 16 years on tuesday and i have been depressed ever since. He was my baby and always by my side for all that time since the day he was born under my bed and now he is gone. I got him cremated and everything but ahhh it just isnt normal in my life right now. WELL I''MA GO NOW
