Thanks! I'm glad to hear somebody is following my thread. It seems like hardly anybody posts anymore. Yes that is a scooter blenny. That is the best pic I could get of him because every time the camera gets close to him he turns is back to me and wont let me get a shot. I got lucky with him though. The LFS I got him from weened him onto frozen food so I dont have to worry about him eating all my pods and starving. Thanks for following along. :)

No problem. I want to do almost the same thing you have here, only about 7x as big
. I was going to ask about the food issue. I know a 10g isnt too big especially without a fuge to sustain a dragonet. Glad to hear its working out! Cant wait to hear more.

Yeah, when the owner of the store showed him to me I was really skeptical about it. But he assured me that he ate frozen and showed me right there. I was very impressed. I did put a handfull of cheato in the back corner though, just because I know it had alot of critters in it.

Hey following too nice tank... and a lot of corals can take all lights, if you want them to multiply like crazy then MH are the way to go.. 10 years ago there werent PC or t5 or MH, it was reg desk lights... like said before.. so dont let anyone say you cant have stuff... Also that torch is known not to do well so keep and eye out...

Just curious, as Im thinking about this now..is there a reason besides light that you chose the bubble coral rather than the bubble tip anemone?

Sweet tank, I've just started a 10 gal reef aswell. I've got a cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, couple different green mushrooms, zoos, purple rhodactis mushrooms, a purple firefish, Yellow Assesar, and a pom pom crab. What do you use for water circulation and filtartion. I skimmed through the thread for about 15 mins and couldn't wait to tell you about mine. I almost have more fun with that than my 55 gal reef. But not quite!

Well, for starters the bubble coral stays where I put it.
And I'm not sure I want to dish out the $$$$ for a nem. when I dont think I can keep it alive. Finicky is an understatement IMO.

Thanks! I really love my nano. I have a 90 also but the nano is my obsession. I have just a regular HOB filter that is rated for a twenty gallon tank. I needed more movement for the corals so I bought a used powerhead until my shipment of Korilas comes in. Hopefully tomorow. I want to build a small refuge for it but that will have to wait until I pay rent and rebuild my money supply. I also want a Purple firefish! i've been looking all over for one, but every time i get to the LFS they already sold them all! ugh!
thanks guys for the comments and following along! Keep them coming!

Makes sense. I think I will do the same.

I'm absolutely glad that I picked my bubble. It has become my "show piece". It's been growing so fast that I had to push my rockwork back to keep it from pressing against the glass and it still touches it! I may have to completly rework it to make more room! I just fed it a huge krill and i think it's going to explode with growth soon. Not to mention that my clown likes to try and host it.

From what I can see, the two look almost the same. I think I will go with the bubble coral to save all the troubles of a nem. Plus, I dont have to wait a year to put it in my tank.

truley! there are different colors of the coral also.
I've seen nems that when put in somebody's tank they travel all over the place in the weirdest spots and most of the time wedge themselves somewhere that you can't even see it! Major bummer!

Ya dont get nem... and you can get nem whenever its recomended after 6 months... but if you have enough filtration and you care for it... then go for it.. but i would have rather gone for bubble coral

Well, I'm sure you all have noticed that I dont have alot of flow. I've ordered a nano korilla to fix this problem, but i put the wrong zip code on my address so its going to be tomorow when I get it. (i hope anyway)
I'm hoping with this addition and dosing calcium in here will get me some serious growth! I do have a question though... when I search on the web for this all i get is dosing jugs and chemicals, never how..... How do you dose a 10 gal tank? Can I just mix it with the saltwater I buy and every time I do a water change the dosing is already there? Is that a smart idea? Or do I have to buy one of those dosing pumps? I dont really have the funds for that, but if it's the ONLY way, I guess I can scrape up some cash for it.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

I just use the seachem reef additives.. i think calciums in there.. i hope.. but i think you just mix with water and put with water change.. limpitsreef on the tube have videos on how to... and look on the tube everythings on ther..

I dont know why I didn't think of that! gah! Thanks for reminding me about that. It seems like you can't find anything with a google search any more except places selling stuff. I guess youtube is the only place to get real info anymore (and reef forums of course). sad right?

It is sad. Google used to be a godsend. I do think bing is a little better, but not as good as google used to be.
