Yeah I am sure when as Meowzer put it the tank gets dirty it will go away, maybe a nice rainbow Ric there what do you think?

Look at these Scott.....I bought them from here as 1 polyp....LOL...they have grown...there are orange, see the rainbows top right...the green right under the others(getting smothered)...and the other pics are the blues

LOL....they have been thru a lot.....and have growth spurts it seems.....for a while they were in a crummy spot and at one time almost got smothered by hair algae.....I just let them do their thing...

Yeah, I cant wait to just get some stuff to start with. OMG its going to be so exciting when I get a package delivery thats has Live things in it.. Its going to be just like Christmas. LOL

So, I get home today and my Timers for my lights are working that is a plus. I have been running my lights during the cycle. Until I got my timers up and running I would turn them on when i got home from work at night then turn them off when I go to bed so they would be on from like 5 until 10 maybe 11. Then I would turn the moon lights on and they would stay on until I got home. Well today the lights Actinic came on at 11 am then the day lights at 12 the day lights will go off at 10 pm and the the moonlights on at 10 and then the actinics off at 11 pm. So, when I got home tonight from work this is what the live rock looked like out of the QT tank that has been in the tank about a week and the rock around it. Is there something wrong? The rock is Fiji Dry rock, the 2 pieces were put in my QT which are live now they are the ones that are the dark brown color. I only have used filtered water thru the API tap water filter to fill the tank, and the top off water is Distilled water.





This piece of rock was pure white like the rest in the tank except the Fiji dry rock.

LOL...diatoms and such begins.....remember you DRASTICALLY changed the lighting schedule....even rock has to adjust....You might want to set your timers to gradually change
and you do not need 12 hours of light right now anyhow

yeah well i just set it like that to make sure today that the timers were working. lol Did you see the green on the rocks also, should I be concerned about that. Yeah I see little brown patches showing up all over the sand too lol./.
