My tank is MAD :(

OK...i just got home from work, and my 225G tank is not looking too happy
WELL the fish are,and the shrimp are BUT the corals are not all full as they usually are.....
I added the new clam last night, and we did a little stirring...

Is there anything I should check for right away....or just watch it......or make up some water JIC???
you know it takes time to make up w/c water for the 225G

I would test for everything to find out why the corals look bad. Unless you moved your coral round they shouldn't be mad the clam came to live with them or that some sand got stirred up unless something was bad in the sand.

Did you move the powerheads at all?
Mine always get a little shrivled if I adjust my PH's even jsut a little bit

I moved nothing but a few rocks.....added some agar for the tangs to much on, chaeto in the fuge, and a little halimeda plant
OK: Ammonia, nitrite, nitrates are all 0....Phosphates are also 0 YIPPEEEEEE
Alk. is 10 dkh, calcium is 440
here is the problem...LOL....I need a new ph kit.....one reads 7.8....and my reliable one the top broke so I don't think the drops were even and that one read 8.6 (i'm gonna test again)
SOOOOOOOOOOO...I would have to say that things are testing ok....
any other ideas????

Meowzer I read somewhere you were swimming in your 225, could that have anything to do with it, j/k - Maybe just give it some time.

I don't think so....I was sure not to pee in there

This is just weird for me.....I have never had this happen before.....sure 1 thing here and there, but not a few at the same time

Here are some examples
first, the polyps are open, but not all the way

Look at these 2 sad leathers


and these mushrooms are almost fully extended
...the crocea behind it looks fine though

I am preparing a w/c JIC...cause it will take me all night to get one ready LOL....so if tomorrow they don't look better.....I am prepared....and if they do look better....so I do a w/c 2 weeks in a row

Hey meowzer, you said your husban came home from hunting, does he spray any of that doe urine, buck spray on him, just a thought, if he put his arm in there you know what I mean.

OMG!!!! I ran in there and asked him right after I read this.....he hunted out back and didn't use anything extra....
I would have killed him......

Just a thought, do you run carbon? It could be a little chemical warfare going on. In my tank they would be all out and happy, all robust then everything looks weak and tired. Leathers give off that slime when they get really mad.

I have chemi pure elite in the canister
I do have a phospure pad...it contains carbon, ferric hydroxide and zeosorbent....I could put it in the sump
or a I could put a baggie of carbon in the sump

IDK what to do

edit: The pink tube anemone is coming out, the condy is out too now

I am making my new water....It won't be done until until 4 a.m......LOL...so we may as well say tomorrow for the ro add...and tomorrow late afternnoon for the whole thing
BTW FLOWER......I love the dreidel :)

Have some margaritas or wine or whatever and have no worries. The nems are opening, clam looks good and the rest will look great soon enough. Watch tomorrow the tank will look better than it ever has.
