You dont sound very convincing... Maybe I should not do it then, Maybe I should wait until I get the shrimp them get a little of the live rock and put it in the tank..

Cause I am not 100% sure.....Are you thinking about getting some live rock now...and putting it in the qt????
Yes thats what I was thinking about doing, but if that would not be a good Idea then I will not do it.. Just thought it would help establish the Bio-load in the tank when I threw in a shrimp..

Scott,
Theres not a whole lot of point to cycling your tank with no live rock in there. You cycle it after you get all the sand and LR in there and wehre you want it, THEN put in the shrimp.
If you do it now it won't have nearly enough bacteria built up on just the glass to colonize your LR and sand (at least not quickly) You'd have to wait quite a while for that to spread to the rocks and sand so no fish during that time.
BUt if you add all you rock now, dead or alive and then put the shrimp in there, byt the time all your parameters are good you will be ready for a CUC.

All you have left of the monti is the two frags in the 29? Those look okay and should grow out.

This is what is left on the BIG piece in the 225G. Of course you can see whereI broke pieces off, and you can not see that on the back, the coloring goes down further then what you can see on the front.....also (hard to tell with this pic) there is still some orange on the right side of the monti. As of this morning there has been NO change, so I AM HOPING that maybe that means it can recover
I am not going to touch it (unless you tell me to Henry LOL)

Nope, leave it be and let it heal. They are pretty tough and can bounce back from almost nothing.
