Remember pullups arn't just bi's it uses shoulder and back to.
Ah, yeah, you're right. Are there any excersizes that I could do to increase my shoulder and back strength before I tackle pullups again?

Rowing machine really targets those muscles.
Ah, yeah, a rowing machine would, however I do not have access to a gym or any sort of fitness machines. All I have is my free weights and my bicycle. I was thinking maybe of leaning over something and pulling 30lb weights upwards towards my chest. That would get the back, right?
I hate situps, but I am going to have to start getting on a routine with those. It hurts the ball of my back to do situps. Does anyone have a suggestion for an ab workout that doesn't involve situps?
Could someone help me with an excersize routine,... like... how many reps and sets of what excersize? Any help is appreciated.

You could always try pilates....I know, I know...I can hear all the guys talking about the mancard revocation already....but, it really does tone your muscles... it's good for your core...and you can purchase a dvd pretty reasonably. Plus, a lot of the moves feel really good to do. I feel more relaxed after doing pilates and definitely more toned.

I don't think I am going to do pilates. I can, however, practice my front stance, back stance and side stance in shotokan karate. Those will get me pretty toned. I've already started to do something like that. If I turn on the TV, I can't just sit and watch it, I have to be up either excersizing or doing my stances.
Thanks FatCat for the video's. :D

thats all right. everyone slips up once in a while, its getting back on the "wagon" that really matters.

Alright, so I have learned not to prolong a meal because you will be hungry-er(?) and you will eat more then you need to.
I watched a program on TV where the guy said to eat slowly and taste every bite, and when you think you are even remotely full, stop. Eat smaller meals, and excersize.
I never thought about it, but I have never listen to my stomach say "enough is enough." weird.

My Weight: 166
I've been drinking water and excersizing and all of that as best that I could. I also slipped up a little bit and ate a little pizza. I dabbed it with a napkin to get some of the grease off before I ate though.
This evening, we are having Churches chicken!! AHH!!! I guess I can't eat the skin, which is the best part. I will try not to eat much at all, either. My wife wants to take me to see that new movie "The uninvited." So, of course she is going to want to eat popcorn (I'm getting it without butter and drinking water)
I guess it's small life changes that mean the most. Though, if I am going to loose the weight, I need to really buckle up for the ride. I guess I can't just give everything up at once, or else it's not such a life change as a "diet."
Anyways, thanks for listening!

I'm thinking that I measured at a different part of the day or something. I am probably going to try and get a new scale or something cause I don't think that's right.

I hear you come spring I am getting on the weight loss wagon big time. Right now I am ho0lding at 350-360 and am at 6-6 however I did the dunk tank because I had a doc not believe the test results last time. My lean weight is right at 260 all ready and they estimated my bones at well over 150 alone of that. Now Yes I am large however when you have a femur aka thigh bone that measures 4 inches around on a ct scan at the narrow point you are not a normal person. In 2007 I had to have my right shoulder repair thanks to my Epilepsy my orthopedic Surgeon was like HS when they did the operation guess he put me back together with the heavy gauge stuff which I have torn to pieces now.
