When I started my diet during my weekly visits to the nutritionist I was getting ragged for not eating enough

It was explained to me like stoking a fire to keep it hot. If there isn't enough fuel to burn you can stoke (work out) all you want but the fire (metabolism) isn't going anywhere. I try to eat 6 times a day and drink a gallon of water in addition to all the diet soda

Yeah, I've been giving up soda pop for the last few months anyways, I don't have any at home - so I don't drink it. My problem though is that when I eat out, I get a soda instead of water or another tastey soda replacement.
I'll stop weighing myself every single day if that makes you happy :p
Today for lunch I had some boiled cabbage with veggies and pork cubes with rice. And a glass of 2% milk and a fruit bowl for dessert. I didn't finish the whole plate. :D So, I'm happy - full and satisfied.
I'm going to stop cooking with butter once I run out of butter at home. I'm going to be using EVOO. I also am not going to be eating bacon and eggs on a regular basis anymore. So, once the bacon is gone - I'm not buying anymore.
Does anyone know an alternative to koolaid, like that water bottle packet stuff? ???

if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth on a diet go to a diabetic food site and look at the desserts.my friend is type 2 diabetic and he brings over strawberry cheesecake if we throw a party.it isnt as good as the real thing but it is very good.not sure whats in it.
not to be called names but i have always had the opposite problem with weight.i have been going to the gym for probably 25 yrs regular.i cant put weight on easily.i can eat mcdonalds everyday.i actually am to the point of hateing to have to eat so much everyday especially protiens that if i look at another egg or chicken i'll puke.but its a waste of time working out and not eating.
a friend of mine lost alot of weight on twin labs ripped fuel.
i think that stuff has been recalled for something.
now he also is bipolar wonder if the

[hr]
did it.
point being there is just no fast way to lose weight safely imo.
i give alot of credit to the people in thier 40's and 50's that are at the gym trying thier hearts out .i see alot of them come and go but some stick with it.

Sugar free kool aid?
You can eat eggs. Just the whites. Thats where all the good stuff is. Every few days have some scrambled eggs like 3.
Its not about being exact every single day. You will go insane. We are not machines we are people. You can cheat. You can eat ice cream. You can eat cake at birthdays. You can eat brownies. Just dont eat the entire damn thing. Have a piece of cake your 3 year old would eat. Thats all you need. Hell I eat a lot of those guys. The body needs fat. It must have fat to live normally. Women who drop below a certain percentage will stop producing eggs and miss periods. Men wont get erections and their --- drive can diminish they can go bald as well.
Weighing yourself everyday does nothing but discourage you. Your body needs time. A few weeks if not a full month to relearn the new "diet" you are feeding it. The body will go into self preservation mode. It will start to burn the muscle and store the fat when you change your habits radically. The body will store the fat for reserves. Once the body gets used to the new diet it will say ohhh. I have enough I can start to burn the fat. Im fine. Thats why weighing yourself is not useful. It just breaks you down emotionally and you set yourself up for the "screw this Im eating food I hate and hungry and Im not losing any weight", So You stop.
8:00am-9:00am - 4 whole eggs & 1 cup of oatmeal
10:00am-10:30am - 2 scoops of whey & an apple or banana
12:00pm-1:00pm - Chicken cesar salad or some other salad that has a grilled chicken

[hr]
in it
2:00pm-2:30pm - Tuna sandwich (Use the tuna that in water not oil, no mayo or dressings on it & use whole wheat bread as well)
4:00pm-4:30pm - 1 scoop of whey & an apple or banana
6:30pm-7:30pm I cheat a little in here. I eat brownies or whatever the heck I want but just a little bit.
8:00pm-8:30pm (POSTWORKOUT) - 2 scoop of whey & 3 to 4 slices of whole wheat bread. I add a little jelly for flavor.
9:00pm-9:30pm - Dinner -Grilled chicken boobies, salmon, catfish mmm its good with some crab stuffed in it, talipia. 1/2 pound peeled shrimp, Steam or cooked vegetables & mashed potatos or baked)
10:00pm-11:00pm - 4 to 8oz's of cottage cheese.
Try this new feeding schedule. You can change the times accordingly. Give yourself at least 3 weeks. It will feel a little sluggish and tired for the first two. This is the body adjusting.
Dont run a lot at your weight. You can cause hairline farctures in your legs and feet. Your body isnt ment to carry that weight and your bones and knees will pay dearly. The person who told you that running burns more than cycling is a moron. Its about your heart rate,. you want your heart rate to saty around 130 to 140 for atleast 30 minutes traight during cardio. You want something that will kick your tail. Go swimming. Your back will feel like you got kicked by a bull the next few days. Thats for later on. Let me know if I can help you out in any other way shape or form

I was a tad heavier than him but I was doing it on purpose for power lifting. I was 270 but I was benching 475 and squating 785. I was shoulder pressing 315. I was huge but I wasnt happy. I was eating a lot. Like a lot a lot. My body hurt everyday from the punishment I was giving it. Im still on the eating schedule posted above. it has become my lifestyle. I want to stay get back to 240 and stay there. I will adjust my diet as I go.
Im never hungry. I never have that bloated god I feel fat in this t shirt feel anymore. I eat all day and have lost weight doing it. You dont even need to work out to lose weight. It helps but eating correctly is all you really need.

Thanks for all the suggestions and the diet guide.
I don't think I've ever eaten 3 eggs at a time. At most 2, but most mornings just one with a couple slices of bacon, 1 biscuit and a glass of 2% milk. That's if I eat breakfast.
For dinner, I would usually eat one hot plate at school followed by a small salad, maybe a slice of pizza and for dessert, a bowl of peach cobler. yum.
For supper, I would usually either cook something for my wife and I, or eat something out because of work. When I ate out, I would get one Jr. hamburger and a value softdrink from Burger King.
I personally don't think I eat that much. I might fudge every now and then and eat a piece of candy or something my wife offers me, but that's it. Not excessive at the least. So, I don't think it's what I was consuming - it's that I am not excersizing or eating the right types of food.
Therefore, tonight when I get home from school, I'm making my fruit bowls and a healthy packed lunch for tomorrow.
The blood pressure herbal remedy feels like it is slowly working. My ears aren't ringing anymore, which is a good thing :D
Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for the support ya'll.
BTW, Crypt, my resting heart rate is 115.... if I walk much at all, my heart rate jumps high.

FWIW, I lost 40 lbs 2 1/2 years ago and have kept it off. Just get Dr Atkins book and read it. I know it worked for me and I have kept the 40 lbs off for the whole time. Sugar, starch and other carbohydrates are stored as fat. Not oil, not lard, not animal fat. I drink diet soda and eat sugar-free icecream-the sugar based items were my weakness. Getting rid of the weight lowered my BP and I have more energy. I am not even recommending you try low-carb, but do a little research. I couldn't lose weight any other way.

eating 3 large meals is bad. what is your job?
do this. Write down everything you eat for the next 3 days. Dont change anything. Dont say oh god Im gonna look bad and change your eating habit for the next 3 days. Write it down and tell me how much you think you are eating in weight as well as what it actually is you are eating. Your heart rate at 115 is dangerous man. Mine is at 56 and when I run or lift it jumps to about 140 and when I push myself to near death it beats at 190.
This is simple to do. You either are a strong minded person who wants to do it or not. Not being mean.

Yes, I am a strong minded person, and I will loose weight. I don't do the whole write down what I eat, because I'm taking that into account before I eat anything. I've become more food conscious.
Though I like the idea of eating 6 small meals a day, it's not possible with my lifestyle. I wonder how I can do cardio workouts without hurting myself/heart?

Bike it. Its easier on your joints. You can get a nice steady pace. Stay there for 10 minutes. Do 10 minutes for a week. Then the next week do 15 then add 5 minutes a week. You have to crawl then run

You know, I think I might do that. I have a bike that I need to fix up anyway. I wonder where I can keep it chained up at night though... Anyways, I will try to take steps to get my bike up to speed.
I know I lost a lot of weight when I rode a bike everywhere! So, maybe that's the ticket.

Yeah. Overweight people shouldnt run. Its bad for the joints and can cause hairline fractures in their legs and ankles. Just ride a bike. how hard is it to store it in your house?

Also if you are going to ride a lot why not spend the money and get a comfortable bike that is ment for street riding? Also get that seat that is prostate friendly.Regular seats can make me go sterile

Another thing you can look at is a special exercise bike. They make a model that is designed to be shoved under the front of a couch or chair. You can sit and peddle while sitting and watching TV. That shouldn't take the place of regular exercise, it is just a way to burn some extra calories. Years ago I modified a standard air bike to do that. It is amazing how much you find yourself casually pumping away without even realizing you are doing it

I live in a very tiny apartment with my wife. Our living room is about 13x13 ft and we have two couches, a TV stand, a home made book case, a coffee table and a cadenza in there - so not much space to put anything, unfortunately. I would like to sit at the TV and peddle, but there's absolutely no room. I will think of a way to keep the bike outside and not stolen in the next couple of weeks.
BTW - I weighed myself - 258!!! WOOT WOOT!
