May I ask what type of fish do you have? Can you name some of them? I'm trying to restock my 55 gallon tank again and wanted some ideas. I'm running into many limitations with my tank; most fish that I like need more swimming room.
Currently, I have a dogfaced puffer and clownfish. Soon I will be replacing my snowflake eel that died. Any feedback is appreciated!
Well I politely disagree with Triton....
55 is a great all around tank. Reef or Fish only.
Flame Angel-humma trigger or Niger Trigger...small Lion fish or
Some Damsels..Clown Fish....Potters Angel....Fox Face...you can have several 3 to 4 inch fish...some live rock....would look great and be easy to maintain.

Hate:
Damsels, engineer goby, cardinals and rabbitfish
Like:
Tangs, Triggers, Wrasses (yes the 6 line has a ton of personality)
Like because they are soo strange:
Cowfish, batfish and frogfish -- pretty much the animal fish :)

What do you mean, the animal fish? Are not all fish members of the kingdom animalia?

My dominoes and 3 lines are territorial when a new fish is added, they buzz them like flies, but have never hurt any of them. After a day or two they ignore whatever was added and go about their business. The fish I would hate if it weren't so pretty is my yellow tang. It has killed 2 royal grammas and a clownfish. I can't buy another fish with alot of yellow or it attacks it relentlessly. I am tempted to get another larger yellow tang, just to put it in it's place.(just kidding)

great whites, sand sharks and tiger sharks, plus they eat people.....not to good in my book (though i think hammerheads and six gill sharks, the only sharks around here, are cool)

im new to this hobby but from my short experience id have to say Damsels....mine killed each other and the 3 left behind(bullies) thye killed 3 other nice fishies in matter of 1 day. I would see them chasing them and picking at them but my hubby wouldnt let me catch them.

Diamond Goby. They are cool looking, but mine took all my small black pebbles ( i have pacific sand ) in the tank and put them in one corner, making a huge pile, then the dummy jumped.
