its Chlorodesmis ( Maiden's Hair ) I have had it in my tank for over 7 months and had no problem with it.... its a great place for copepods to grow in my tank. into it gives me problems I see no reason to take it out.
I thought that Chlorodesmis had stiffer blades than Derbesia. Looks to me like that is very soft fine hairs. Always hard to identify algea in our tanks. So many different kinds.

to many kinds!! lol,I think some stuff is very hard to tell what it is in a picture, I have a little hair algae coming in my bio cube. It looks more stringy. Anyways thanks for asking, never hurts to bring attention to a fellow reefer of a possible problem.

I posted pictures of my Zoas in hopes of getting others to post theirs, I being a judge can't or shouldn't really be able to enter pictures in competitions.. so mine basically mean nothing lol just showing off
