The big wreck....Restrictor plate racing at it's best...or worst. It does make it interesting though....May the luckiest driver win.

Not really sure if restrictor plate racing is a lotto, if the same guy keeps winning these races

I share everyone's sentiments on TNT. The production quality is absolutely insulting. Throughout the race they had a number of wrong graphics pop up. At the end of the race, they had the Nationwide results up
. They kept giving Lindsay the wrong text on the teleprompter. You can tell their main focus is on that RaceBuddy website, and the 3D jazz. Thankfully there is only Chicagoland next week before TNT's schedule is up. Do the teams/nascar have to been extra security to the race next week?

Looks like in the overall fantasy standings, I've got some new company on the front row as well!

Several racers in the top 15 that are never in the top 15....Proving my point about restrictor plate racing.
I think Kyle Petty does a very good job for TNT, I'm a bit biased though as he has a place at the golf course I used to work at in Charleston, Kyle is a super nice guy.
After being in last for about the first 10 races, I'm on the comeback trail.

TNT always seem to ruin the race the last few yrs. They play commercials and jam pop up on u every 5 minutes.I am fine with the play by play but lets see how much money we can make on commercials is BS.
Daytona does not start until 15 to 20 laps to go.

Arg!! Once again....A mediocre driver like Jr., Kesolowski, or McMurray have a better chance at winning a restrictor plate race than on a "regular" track without the plate....That is still my point.

What are you smoking?
Harvick, Keslowski, McMurry, Ky Busch, Stewart, Gordon, Gordon, Johnson, Vickers
Busch, Reutiman, Johnson, Kahne, Burton, Mears, Gordon, Kahne, Kahne
Johnson, Logono, Martin, Busch, Biffle, Hamlin, Boyer, Busch, Harvick
McMurry, Harvick, Kensith, Stewart, Newman, Busch, Harvick, McMurry. Johnson, Stewart
Hamlin, Martin, Vickers, Jr., Edwards, Edwards, Busch, Kahne, Kensith
Which tracks do you think produce the most mediocre winners?

Regardless of who might win the race, is the race itself not more enjoyable/exciting to watch? Do you really find the typical Michigan race, where a Roush car leads 235 of 260 laps, and 11 cars finish on the lead lap? Or Vegas where a Busch brother wins with 235 of 260 laps led, and 7 cars finish on the lead lap, better?
The no-holds-barred, everyone is on the same page, style racing is really worse to watch then those 1.5 mile tracks?

Can't argue that, Talledega can be a little boring in the middle, but the finish is always great at both tracks.

So you think "Harvick, Keslowski, McMurry, Ky Busch, Stewart, Gordon, Gordon, Johnson, Vickers: is evidence of some Mediocre wins but "Busch, Reutiman, Johnson, Kahne, Burton, Mears, Gordon, Kahne, Kahne" isn't?

Mears is aweful, he won on a fuel gamble, Ruetiman won rain shortened....I think you're on crack is you think Kahne is mediocre, I could see him winning the title someday, and Burton has been quite good for a long time.....Good drivers often win at Daytona and Telledega, but it can be a crapshoot.

Can be a crap shoot at any track, as 3 the non restrictor plate track wins lists I posted clearly points out for those who can put the pipe down long enough to read

As far as Kasey the geek we'll see what happens when he takes over the 5. Like with Jr there ain't no excuses then. Sometimes it just takes the right chemistry. Keep an eye on McMurry. I really thought he'd shine with Rouch and he ran like crap, maybe he has the right people now but he is a pretty good driver.

yeah but so did the other drivers too. Rouche drivers seem to drive good one at a time...

So.... This week, 1.5mi downforce track.... Who's suppose to be mediocre drivers, and who are elite drivers again?
McMurray led the most laps and Reutimann out runs the field at the end to win. JGR cars looked terrible, Harvick struggled (tho Burton/Bowyer did well). Is it just me, or is anyone else starting to wonder what type of serious aero package Jimmie is running? When Jimmie's out in front, he's the class of the field, but stick him mid-pack, and he's dogmeat. Bowyer/Stewart drove up through the field a couple times. And weird, the race finished without any drama, sorta felt odd...

It happens once in a while....It's not like Earnhardt won or something ridiculouos. Would hardly compare this week overall to the riculous finishes last week though.
THought I had a horrible week with JJ having a bad one, a lot of horrible point weeks though.

I don't think I ever heard Kyle Busch's name mentioned, makes it a good race. I think McMurray is starting to put it all together at long last. Next season I think he's going to be a strong contender.
