That's cool. Junior Johnson freely admits that he was a moonshiner.
T3, you need to post more pictures of your tank on your mantis thread.
I thought that thread had died. I have not even looked at in awhile since the tapping noise went away. I'll probably do a pic thread sometime on my 280, but for the last couple of weeks I have been cleaning up & replumbing a 55 that I got from someone else. I thought about keeping it, but I think I'm going to put the whole setup on here for sale. I can't keep up with it all.

I'd love to see your tank! I'm less than 3 weeks away to my race trip!

Anybody coming down for the Charlotte race? If you are, I'd love to meet you guys for lunch or something. Especially if there's more than just one or two, it would be a great SWF/Nascar meet

I'm about 30 min from the track.

Now the guys that are h_rdcore are the Rally drivers. Go as fast as you can on a dirt road and hairpin turns while the guy beside you reads from a list what is coming up next. That takes some guts.

When I was living back home we'd go to some of the starts during Jyvaskyla Rally and no matter how far you stood from the road, you'd still get sand and rocks flying over you. Pretty amazing stuff!

Since you guys are digging up old facts, anyone know where Richard Petty's (THE KING) very first race was? I doubt Spidey even knows this one
Dang, I went to bed too early. I would have Googled that one to death
I'm an expert Googler!

Hey! I had to pay some of it myself!

Spidey, it was literally a toss up with those two. I figured black would be a little warm down in Ft. Lauderdale very soon. Worst case, it could double as UM attire.

Hey you did good. The main thing is that you did your search and found something nice for your mom. It's the thought that counts more than the actual present. So many would just get her flowers and chocolates, but it takes a good while to actually shop online and find something she would appreciate.

I may need to rethink that offer

You'd all find out that I'm a dude after all

KIDDING!
Do we need to start calling you Governer of California?
Actually, it would be cooler if you let your husband take em on a tour around the shop... Or behind the scenes at the track...

If there is enough interest, the tour around the shop might be a possibility. You'd also enjoy tour at the Joe Gibbs Racing shop and I'm sure I could get that arranged. Behind the scenes at the track is more difficult as only a limited amount of garage passes are given to each team and those always go out to the spouses, sponsors and family members of the teams. Charlotte being our home track, those passes are incredibly hard to get. I doubt I'd get one for myself either.

lol I'd love to do it, but sadly those shops aren't in texas. And I think I'm getting married that weekend.

I would LOVE to have a meet and greet, unfortunately there is this little problem of 2,800 miles.
T3, I don't care where you post them, I just want to see pictures of your tank.

Anybody watching Cup practise? I hope the qualifying doesn't get rained out. Mike Skinner is currently fastest at the practise!

Streaming PRN at work, sounds promising for Qualifying. For the race, as loose as everyone was for practice, definitely don't have to worry about too few cautions

Wow! What type of moronic move was that by McMurray? Hmm, lemme go hard left after just colliding with another car. Maybe he wouldn't be there....
1, 2, 3, for RCR, that was nice! Tough break for Stewart, Harvick sailed that thing down in there... For Fantasy, I think we all were pretty much within 10 points or so if each other. Close week, was sitting pretty till McMurray's "stunt."

Yeah, there will be no 300 point weeks this week. I looked at your roster and McMurray took out two of your drivers, OUCH. Menard was having a good day until then, even had an OK finish considering.
Knight you are a Harvick hater aren't you? There are a lot of VERY upset Stewart fans right now.
I thought the racing was good, and who would have thought that all the cars would be running at the end of Bristol?

(cough chough) I realize that English is a second language for you so let me just say that you would not want to be in his SHOES right now. Being in his pants gives that statement an entirely different meaning.

Oops, that was a straight translation from Finnish. I'll remember it next time :)
