your right about the lights that is hanging over the sides, but the lights inside are only 20inches. (i just measured.) and since you brought that to my attention, i will place it so that the bulbs are centered above the tank. will post up pictures when i do, but now the stand is drying.

ok, well, the stand and tank are finished drying. i have it filled up with some tap water to do a leak test. so far, so good. the HOB filter and maxi jet 1200 are working good. they came off my old 28 gallon. man i miss that tank. it was doing so well and then i upgraded and my tank went through another cycle. :( just lost a bunch of corals...
anyway, pics are coming later this afternoon.

ok, here are the pictures.
tank and stand finally finished and in place. yea, the tank is dirty, but i was to exited to put it into place. and i wanted some dead coraline and stuff to fly around so i could spot the dead spots. will clean it before the saltwater goes in though! btw, in the pics, the tank is empty...

tank with light on.

Coraline in my filter from my old 29 gallon.

more coraline.

dead coraline left on my maxijet and hydor flow defletor

the left side of the light.

the right side of the light

as you can see, the light is as centered as i could get it. only the tip of the bulbs are overhanging.

well, just got back. didnt think it was going to be that long tho. i might fill it up tomorrow with the ro water and sand. we'll have to see.
and the coraline has turned white now, since the freshwater was running through it. should i still put it on the rocks?

no, not yet. everything looks about the same. couldnt get the sand in as i came back home around 10 pm.
but something happened in my display tank. sorta good, sorta bad. my huge aptasia disapeared. thats really good! and so did my damsel. sorta good. i liked the damsel and wanted to keep him, possibly going in the ten gallon, or my cousins tank. he was very pretty, but i had half a mind to get rid of him as he killed my blue tang, but then he started behaving. sorta bad, since my new lunare has killed a lot of my turbo snails and im hoping it wont mess up my parameters. im still trying to figure out how to get rid of the lunare. i might just take out all the rock and catch him, and reaquascape since ive wanted to reaquascape for a while. so why not kill two birds with one stone?

i just have them in a rubbermaid outside near the hose. the rubbermaid is filled with water and rocks. everyday in the morning i go and dump all the water in the rubbermaid and refill it. and sometimes in the afternoon i will go and do the same thing. i do this for about 2 months.
also, im making some water to mix the salt with and hopefully have it all mixed before i leave for atlanta on friday. i have also decided that my lunare in my larger tank will have to go. it is harrasing its tankmate and eating my snails. i knew the day would come, just didnt think the day would be so soon.

just regualar hose water for curing, so its tap. i mean, its man made rock. no need to waste so much ro/di water on it.
