the shrimp goby pair yea you could probably keerp both the fire fish and royal gramma gobys produce very little waste to i would say yes to both of them

another question tho.... if i make an underground cave for the shrimp will it use it or will it just dig its own?

It will probably build its own, just make sure your rock structure is secure so it doesnt dislodge anything! and live sand around where I am is about 25-30 for a 15-20 lb bag.

okay i just had a cool idea with a cave from my fresh water but i guess ill just let it dig its own. does that mean ill need a pretty deep sand bed?

I dont think so, lots of people keep digging shrimp in shallower beds. But I'd have at least 15 lbs in there.

okay thanks i still am not sure if thats what i am goin to do or not. i have always wanted false percs. but we will see i guess....
so it looks like i wont start my tank until monday
i am getting 50 from my parents on friday as well as 25 on sat. for mowing the yard so im gunna wait till monday to go to my lfs. i will have about 60 bucks to work with.

Save up!!! Spend the next month (after buying tank supplies and maybe a colorful shrimp) saving up and get those as your only showpiece fish!
