Today I bought two fake pericula (I think) clownfish and a BTA. The clownfish are doing great. The anemone is being dumb. Am I supposed to turn off my korlia's? I heard somewhere that you are supposed too, because my anemone can't anchor itself anywhere. & I know its supposed to move on its on, but I do not understand how? As it lays on its side.

i am a little suspicious the only anems i have seen with an orange base are haitian or condylactys, to me that looks nothing like a bta. are you sure you can trust your LFS? and and yeah they are called "false" or "ocelleras" clowns

Your tank is way too young and isn’t not ready for an anemone, and you need lots more rock.

i would add about 10 more pounds of live rock.
And I should be adding a lot more live rock within the next two weeks.

I got them from *****. They were a lot cheaper than my lfs by like $20.

Thats not a BTA
What is it then?
The guy at the store told me it was a BTA. And I knew that some BTA's don't have bubbles, so I thought maybe this was one of them.

Not great at IDing things but like Lord Fu Fu said, maybe a condylactys or a haitian anemone, how much did it cost

$25. They said they were out of condylactys, and I googled hatian and it didn't look like mine. Of course I am horrible at IDing.

Question? The anemone is fine though correct? It's not bleached and actually the light brown color has become more definite, the 'leg' is one color still, and it's opened fully like 5 times (before it moved?/fell? off the spot I put him).

I told you before that your lighting would be an issue. ALSO +1000 that is not a bta....I would take it back cause a condy or haitian should only cost $10.....NOT $25
If you are getting more Live rock soon....I would wait until after you get it before adding anything esle to your tank

DONT MOVE THE ANEMONES, the cool thing about them id that they know what spot is best for them and theyll go there, if you want them to or not. Im not sure about this one but many anemones need to be in sand not rock.
Your tank has only been up for close to four months, Yes? Your tank is not mature enough for an anemone, you could try to keep it, but it would be harder than if your tank was the reccomended 6-8 months. I think i saw your tank was like 30 somethin gallons, a good recomendation for live rock is to have around as many pounds as you have gallons of water(doesnt have to be though) you do need more Live Rock.
Your anemone looks fine but if it starts losing any color i would bring it back.
Any questions just post them

UHHHH. Okay my mom went to the store with me last night and the guy was busy with other customers, I told her which one I wanted and what kind. Then I went to go get bird food for our quaker parrot while waiting and apparently she got the long tentacle anemone and the price was $28. I just called to ask her if she got the right one and she said that the guy recommended the LTA, so thats the one she got.

Yeah I only place him on a rock when I first got him. 10 minutes later he was on the ground. This morning he is in the corner.
Yeah my tank is 4 months old. I am going to try to keep it as long as stays healthy. First sign of sickness i am gunna take it to my lfs (***** has a no return policy on saltwater fish/corals/inverterbraes). I am slowly going to have build up the rock amount. Hopefully I will have at least 30lbs by mid May.
