This is true. Some of the most beautiful reefs that I prefer to look at have very little SPS. I'm much more into softies, LPS, and NPS. BUT if you really want the anemone to be healthy, upgraded lights it is. To break it down for you, it's either upgrade the lights, or trade in the nem.
The nem otherwise looks healthy, the mouth is closed tight. I'd still be a little worried that it's still moving around. Getting more live rock in there should help with this. And yeah one pound per gallon will be fine. Definanly get some purigen, activated carbon, or even chemi-pure into the system.
Thanks for the help! : )
I am getting rock possibly tomorrow? Should I still do the purigen thing?

...so I talked to my lfs and y'all aren't going to like what they said.
They said that my lights are more than enough to keep an anemone.

Well, anyone who has kept these long term will definantly disagree with your LFS about the lighting. ALWAYS do research, and take multiple opinions before you yourself come to a conclusion.
Be careful when you add live rock. If it isn't already cured, you're going to have to cure it in a seperate container before you add it to your tank.

I am going to read up on it, and I am going to ask the head honcho at my lfs when I go in for live rock if I can get store credit for the anenome.
I am pretty sure the rock I buy is pre cured, but I will double check.
The LTA hasn't moved since yesterday. Its laying on its side in the sand fully open. Its pretty, but I really hope this isn't its permanent resident.

Your tank is way too young and isn’t not ready for an anemone, and you need lots more rock.
I agree completely. Anemones are very demanding critters.
BTW; they aren't false or fake anything---they are Ocellaris Clowns.
